Description Here is another Wand Commission, this one for a Slytherin Wand.

15" for a strong personality,
with a double core of Dragon Heartstring and Basilisk Fang:
"Dragon heartstring is a powerful wand with a lot of magical β€œheft”. It is not the core you want for subtlety, but for sheer power it is definitely the best. Although it is the most common core among Dark Wizards, Dark Wizards are most certainly not their most common users. Dragon heartstrings are by far the most common wand core amongst Slytherins, but their power often bonds to Gryffindors and Ravenclaws as well. However, they tend to overwhelm the archetypal Hufflepuff personality."
"Basilisk wands are incredibly rare, as the beasts are rare to begin with and hard to kill. Due to the rarity, they often are passed down from generation to generation, so basilisk-core wands are either the heirloom of Slytherin-type Pureblood families or reforged wands from family cores. The occasional new basilisk wand will almost always bond to a Parselmouth or budding Dark Wizard. Very little good comes out of wielders of basilisk wands."

Harvested Poplar - Although poplar is a light wood, it is sometimes found in the wands of Dark Wizards, who find its properties of being extremely similar to human bone desirable.

With accents of Moonstone and Bloodstone:
Moonstone is said in crystal healing to help calm responses and avoid overreaction; enhances feminine energies, sensitivity, intuition, and psychic abilities. It is also said to bring strong energies of abundance to one's life. Moonstone is a stone of protection, especially during childbirth, pregnancy, and travel at sea. It is a stone of calm and relief from emotional stress. It is also associated with love of all kinds. Physically it aids the pituitary gland and digestive system, obesity, water retention, hormonal problems, menstrual problems. Moonstone is also used as a stand in for pearl, when pearl is not available. Moonstone is associated with the crown and third eye chakras, and sometimes with the heart chakra.

Bloodstone is a deep green stone with small red specks. The small red specks are where the stone gets its name. They make the deep green stone appear to be spotted with blood. Bloodstone is excellent for centering and grounding. It is said to help with calming, particularly in survival situations. It brings mystical energies of increasing adaptability and organization, and lessening confusion and anxiety. It is said to be a a stone of courage, bringing mental, physical and emotional renewal by releasing blockages. It is said to be particularly good for helping emotional traumas and grief. It also enhances the intellect. Bloodstone is mystically used to bring energy to one in many ways, including bringing abundance, success, and prosperity, as well as smoothing the way with legal issues. Bloodstone is said by intuitive sources to be helpful in treating anemia and other diseases of the blood, blood pressure, bleeding, cardiovascular system, cramps, diabetes, lupus, colds, endocrine system, kidney, bladder, physical strength issues, flu, physical traumas, and post-surgical issues.

This wand was designed by its commissioner~

Harvested from a poplar tree myself, it was carved and sanded by hand. The hilt and serpent are crafted from sculpy, baked, carved and painted. The eyes are red glass, the fangs rose thorns, the dragon heartstring golden embroidery floss woven into the handle. Painted with acrylics and iridescent wash and sealed with an acrylic gloss sealant.

I hope you like it!

I loved it when I first got it and still adore it! I keep it hidden so it stays nice and bring it out for Halloween and whenever I'm in the mood to cast a spell! Thank you so much again. It fits me (and my character) perfectly!

On another note, I'm so sorry I haven't replied to your email! Life over the summer was so busy, and school is packed! I have barely any free time to draw. I'm studying for a big test now, but once that's over with, we should start our RP! I think Monique would probably want to do it too, but I'll have to ask her to make sure; a three-way RP would be fun. I can see you've been busy yourself. I love Weaponry. It's a unique story and the characters are the right mix of 'rough and tough' pirates and compassionate pirates. I'd love go to a meet up, but life is much too busy here and will be fore a while. Good luck with Weaponry and those conventions! We must chat soon ~

No worries! I know how life gets! Mine has been doing the same thing recently I hope you're enjoying school, even if it is really busy!

Oh, school's fun. Monique and I are taking a Yogaerobics class, which is really fun (and healthy). We're also in one of the choirs (it's an all girls one and there are about 50 girls in it). Math is fun like always, and English is okay. I wish we didn't have to always read depressing, violent, sexist books. I mean seriously, isn't there a really good book that's even slightly happy? Oh well. Chemistry is okay, but I prefer physics. History is good because we have a really funny teacher who cooks (and this isn't American history, it's global). I like him. And German is awesome. As always.

How's life going for you?

I'm glad to hear that! <3

Yeah, they do seem to pick really traumatizing books, don't they? I mean, it's great that they have a strong impact, but... My favourites book of all time had impact and traumatic events, but it still had a happy ending - otherwise no lessons would be learned.

Life for me is...whoo-boy. It has been a rollercoaster! Some of the highest highs and lowest lows in memory. I've been working really hard on Dreamscapes and Weaponry, and sewn craft for SteamCon in Seattle. It's left me very little time for much else... Like taking pictures of all the things I've been making! XD Haha, I'm such a terrible photographer...

Yes, the perils of many literature classes: really depressing books with no happy endings. I do wish teachers would spice up the variety and give us a happier book to read. Doesn't have to be easy at all, just happier. Oh well. I still have my happy books at home!

Sounds busy! I bet you've been even busier during this holiday season. I hope you have chances to relax and enjoy some me-time or family-time! And to get plenty of sleep (so difficult in these fast-paced, bang bang days of our always-on society!).

I'm sorry for taking so long to reply. School, life, and my own laziness have factored into my inactivity. I really should post some art. But first I should actually draw something! Maybe I'll take the rough fashion sketches and color them in Photoshop. I could use plenty of digital coloring practice!

Well, if you guys want a technically skilled book that has happier moments in it, I suggest "The Heroes" by Joe Abercrombie. You'd get more out of it if you've read all the books leading up to it (of which there are 4), but it is a stand alone so you don't -need- to, if you want to dive straight in.

I haaave been even busier. Partly because I was scrambling trying to get Dreamscapes to print on time, and doing NaNoWriMo (which, thankfully, I won!) and having all these commissions to juggle... It was really overwhelming. Sleep has been low on the list of priorities.

No worries about the lag! My daily message counter sits at about 550, and I manage to pare it down by about 50 only to have it creep back up to about 600 everytime I look away... > 3 >;; Still, I hope to see (figuratively speaking) more of you again! We'll need to catch up!
