Specials
Neutral Special – Splattershot – The Inkling pulls out their trusty Splattershot gun. Holding down the B button results in a constant barrage of ink blobs fired out in a fanned-out pattern in front of them. While the Inkling is rendered immobile during the assault, the constant firing can rack up damage, wear down shields, or prove as an effective means of ledge guarding. The longer the attack is used, the less damage the individual shots will do.
Side Special – Roller – A powerful melee weapon, the Inkling produces their roller and charges into the heat of battle! The amount of time the Inkling runs behind the roller is fixed, meaning it can’t be stopped early, but that doesn’t keep them from being able to turn around, an effective tool since carless use can toss you right off a ledge. Using it in midair results in a very minimal horizontal movement making it a bad recovery move.
Up Special – Super Jump: The Inkling shifts into their squid form and build up power before shooting into the air like a rocket leaving a trail of ink in their wake. While on the accent, the blasts through any enemies in their way dealing minor damage.
Down Special – Squid Dive: The Inkling assumes their squid form and dives into the ground. They can slide around on the floor, but will fall through any platforms a player can drop through. Jumping will bounce of enemies dealing minor damage but any other kind of attacks are unusable.
Final Smash – Kraken: Using the power of the Smash Ball, the Inkling transforms into a powerful beast, the legendary Kraken! The Kraken effortlessly surfs over surfaces dealing good damage to anyone it contacts with. Jumping results in a spinning jump dealing even more damage to foes unlucky enough to be caught in your path.

Snake Codec
Snake: What…in the world is that thing?
Otacon: That’s an inkling Snake. A kid evolved from our squids.
Snake: So, it’s a squid?
Otacon: No Snake, it’s a kid. But they can be a squid, effortlessly changing between kid and squid.
Snake: What are they made of that allows that.
Otacon: Ink. An inkling’s body is 100% ink.
Snake: Now you’re just making stuff up.
Otacon: I’m not. They are bizarre lifeforms. But be careful. While their weapons all use ink, it can be dangerous to be on the wrong end of them. Keep on your feet out there buddy.

Palutena Guidance
Pit: Is that a squid, or a kid?
Palutena: It’s actually both Pit, effortlessly switching between both.
Pit: I don’t get it. How can you be a squid AND a kid?
Viridi: Of course, you don’t. I’ll try to keep things simple for you. It’s a kid who came from a squid, but who is also a squid.
Pit: Okay, I think I get it. Anyway, how do I take it on?
Palutena: The Inkling’s moves are all focused on distance using their various turf war weapons.
Pit: What’s a turf war?
Palutena: An ancient custom amongst Inklings. They divide into teams and compete to see who can cover the most land in their team’s ink.
Viridi: Which would be devastating if it didn’t disappear on its own after a time.
Pit: How environmentally friendly!
Palutena: That’s right Pit. And remember, you can use your Guardian Orbitars to reflect just about everything they can throw at you. But be careful, you know when they’ll mix it up and strike you as a squid!

Stage Information
Stage – Urchin Underpass: The extreme popularity of this turf war battlefield has netted it a slot in Smash Brothers! Meet up in the center choke point of the map to dish out the pain to your opponent. A ramp can lead fighters up to a higher platform in the middle. Be careful though, because no one told the denizens of Inkopolis that the Smash Brothers wanted the area for themselves so from time to time an Ink Strike or Killer Wail from a nearby Turf War may strike the area. At least the attacks are proceeded by a brief silhouette of the attack for warning.
Stage Music-
1) Splattack (Splatoon Main Theme)
2) Now or Never
3) Ink or Sink
4) Seaskape
5) Kraken Up
6) Hooked
