Your drawings are great! You also don't only focus on the warships but other sectors like mining. It adds more to the universe and more realistic. Keep up the good work!

Love your work - have added you to my watch as I am looking at turning your ideas into maybe a 3d model for my wargaming table

You made the Z-95 Headhunter, the X-Wings predecessor, like fighter look even better then its source material. Β

Thanks - I was trying to do something a little more original, but I guess it did turn out looking like a Headhunter. Oh, well ...

Ok. It reminded me the X-wing.

Oh, I see. yes, it does a bit, I guess. I think any ship with long nose and long guns mounted at the end of the wings will be compared to the X-wing. Thanks for the comment and the reply.

I know you already know what it resembles, as others have already said it. Regardless, I do like the way it looks

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, there will be a reworking of it in the next few weeks, so keep and eye out.

Quite impressive!
Looks a bit like you've created a superior version of the Z-95 Headhunter from Star Wars by blending the concept with the Vipers from the rebooted Battlestar Galactica.

Thanks for the comment. Yep, it does look a little like the ships you mentioned - but I hope to rework it to make it more distinct.

Thanks for the feedback. I wanted to try out the idea of having the wings be the engines. The rest was pretty much just ad hoc. The cockpit turned out okay, but that was just luck. I will rework the idea as there is some potential there, I think - although I want to change the primary weapons to some sort gimballed rapid-fire cannon pods for dogfighting. The nose apertures are what I call "rap guns" - rapid fire, close quarter weapons for strafing or blasting close-in target with multiple rounds. I am not sure about those - I think making them targeting sensors would make more sense. Thanks gain for the feedback. I really do appreciate it. Β

Agreed - although it's impossible to cover all angles in many cases, there should be some sort of weapon system defending the major axes, especially on a fighting ship. If you look at many ships in the movies (even the Imperial Star Destroyers), their rears look virtually undefended - full of huge engines and little else - a perfect target to launch a torpedo against.

I think most ships are designed to look cool with combat considerations being an afterthought. Its something to keep in mind, though, as I believe a lot of people appreciate this level of detail.
