Description With the destruction of the American capital and the outbreak of the Second American Civil War, much of the world fell into economic chaos and tremendous social upheaval. With collapsing foreign markets, many Arab states found oil exports drop significantly. At first, China and Europe were seen as new markets, but the collapse of China into civil war and anarchy in 2016 saw the loss of over half of all remaining oil sales. Sales became even more difficult to Europe after the Russian invasion in 2019. As unemployment continued to rise many nations fell to chaos. Iraq and Syria complete collapsed into anarchy and riots engulfed most major cities across the Arab world and Iran. As more and more countries fell into chaos, many extremist groups began taking power. By 2018, dozens of extreme Islamist groups branded together and took over Iraq, Syria, Kuwait, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates. Originally wanting to attack Israel due to historical relations, the Caliphate chose not, opting to build up and come back later, along with choosing to focus on expanding to the Saharan nations. Managing to gain control of Sudan threw diplomacy in 2019, the Caliphate had a staging point in Africa. They quickly pushed into Libya and managed to use diplomacy to convince Egypt and Tunisia to join. Mauritania joined later that same year, followed by Algeria. In late 2019, Turkey joined mainly to protect itself from Russian aggression after the collapse of NATO, but not before it negotiated a higher degree of autonomy. Northern Cyprus was also included by 2020 as a part of Turkey. In northern Mali, the local Tuareg people chose to secede and join the Caliphate sparking a war between the two states. Mali was annexed completely by 2021. In 2020, the Caliphate was looking to expand into the Russian controlled Caucasus, namely Azerbaijan. Russia, already dealing with significant losses after its withdraw from Europe and the escalation of the Second Russo-Japanese War (2017-2027), was in no shape to start a new war, so it handed Azerbaijan (with the exception of the Armenian populated Nagorno-Karabakh region) and the Georgian region of Adjara. This decision, while opening relation between the Caliphate and the Russian Union, would be used as one of the many reasons used to overthrow and assassinate Russian President Kirill I. Ulanov by Vladislav F. Petrov (Ulanov's succession). By 2024 the Caliphate began a series of expansionist wars and turned its attentions to the Muslims states of the Sahel and the Sudanian Savanna. After invading and annexing the whole of Togo and Benin and largest swaths of Northern Nigeria, Ghana, and the Ivory Coast, the remaining portions of those countries joined together, along with Liberia and Sierra Leone, to form the West African Federation in 2026. The African-Caliphate War (2025-2029) devastated large portions of Southern Nigeria and the Ivory Coast but played a key role in stopping the expanding Caliphate in West Africa. In 2025, the Caliphate annexed most of Chad (mainly the northern half). In 2026, the Caliphate invaded and annexed Morocco and Western Sahara. From 2028-2040, Ethiopia and the Caliphate fought bitterly over Eritrea, only ending after Somalia invaded Ethiopia and conquer a large chunk of the nation. The Caliphate managed to gain control over almost all of Eritrea, with the exception of the Southern Red Sea Region. In 2032, Oman and Yemen (which had both managed to escape immediate annexation into the Caliphate) went to war over a border dispute. Japan supported Oman and Yemen was supported by the Caliphate. By 2033, Oman had taken complete control over the Yemeni Al Mahrah Governorate and Socotra. Japan and the Caliphate secretly negotiated that same year and decided that Oman would fall under Japanese influence and Yemen would be invaded and annexed directly into the Caliphate. After the Russian invasion of Central Asia and the 2036 Pakistani Coup by military officers sympathetic to the Neo-Japanese Empire, Afghanistan decided to join the Caliphate. In 2037, Israel reluctantly gave Palestine to the Caliphate, rather than risk fighting a long, drawn out war. The late 2030's were marked with internal strife as many inside the Caliphate were protesting for increasing human rights and the relaxing of the extreme version of Sharia law that had been imposed over most of the Caliphate. By 2039, the leaders of the Caliphate reluctantly agreed the relax its extreme interpretation of Sharia law and imposed many far ranging political reforms to prevent the risk of the secession of its states. Iran and Bahrain joined by the end of 2039 after the reforms were passed increasing local autonomy amongst its member states and also believing in forming a Pan-Islamic state. The finishing of construction of the Trans-Caliphate Pipeline (construction had begun in 2021) in 2032, which stretches from Algeria in to west, to Yemen in the south, and Elista in the southern Russian Union, the economy of the Caliphate rapid boomed. Since the 2040's, the Caliphate has chosen to stay out of most conflicts, instead opting to focus on modernizing its military and economy

Why is Adjara on this? We are not muslims and especially we are not Turkey!

They took it from the Russians (who annexed Georgia earlier) to use it as a buffer zone in case of future hostilities with Russia.

At first, yes. Later it reformed due to internal pressures (armed revolts, riots, public protests, mutinies in the military). Now its a more of a semi-democratic federation.
