History: When Kiera was a young child, one of her foster mothers attempted to cast a protection spell on her. The spell was meant to ensure that Kiera would “always be in control of her own body.” The foster mother misunderstood the spell to be metaphorical, thinking that Kiera would always be in charge of herself, her choices, and what she did in life. The spell turned out to be very literal, and as Kiera grew up she discovered the nature and extent of her abilities.
Due to be moved through the foster system, Kiera was a troublemaker as a child. Soon enough she was in and out of juvenile detention centers for various infractions. Eventually aging out of the system, she turned to petty crime to make a living. Her abilities allowed to shoplift from a distance or conceal her face.
After an encounter with the superhero Big Kid, Kiera decided to go bigger with her powers and fashioned the costumed identity Dust Bunny (See Big Kid). As a costumed adventurer, Dust Bunny proved capricious. She continued to be a minor annoyance to Big Kid, purposefully committing small crimes specifically along his patrol route, but would sometimes assist him on cases.
Known superhuman powers: Through a psionic connection, Dust Bunny can telekinetically control every part of her body, even if the body part has been removed. In this way, she can control even her own flaked-off dead skin—her own dust—which aggregates around her in a swirling cloud.
She has been observed to condense the dust cloud into a small projectile which she then propels at great speeds. Dust Bunny has been seen to use the dust cloud to carry small objects. She has also used the cloud to envelope other people’s heads and faces, blinding them or triggering respiratory reactions.
Because she can telekinetically control her body, she is able to lift and levitate herself, achieving low-level flight.
If she becomes physically incapacitated, she can still move her body through telekinesis. Dust Bunny has used this power to throw punches after being hit with a tranquilizer. The actual extent of her powers—for example, the effect it has on her internal organs and body systems—is unknown.
Dust Bunny is an experienced street fighter, having been in many scrapes growing up. She is also a skilled shoplifter and pickpocket.
Dust Bunny has the strength of a woman her height and build who engages in moderate regular exercise.
