Hi guys, this particular piece is quite big in size due to the gradient and miniature details. But it's worth a full view, so U won't miss out the tiny little details I created into.

On the 20th of Jan, my Mother will be celebrating her 52nd birthday. Hence, I created this piece as a print present just for her. And dedicate to every loving Mother out there.

Idea:

Got this concept from a Doll Shop last weekend while visiting a friend. I saw it once and fall in love in every each of them, kind of Traditional Japanese Doll, and each is not cheap. I went back home, sketched, scanned in, and checked out the Kimono cloths online. For this time, I decided to do something quite different from usual which is apply a soft gradient technique thruout.

The title:

The title, "Mother Of Benevolence" which suggests how my Mother treats everyone. She always give, but not take. Help but no complain, forget and forgive (Though I'm naughty). And such piece of title fits her rightfully.

Tools and Hours:

Adobe Illustrator CS, Adobe Photoshop 7.0, 2 nights abt 10 hours.
