Description Sketchy sketch of two breeds of centaur from my "world", Caranoctia. On the left, a female Dune centaur, a lightly built desert dweller. On the right, a male Alpine centaur, stocky and hardy mountaineer.

Both great! But when I draw centaurs I have the upper part of their bodies partially covered in fur as well as the "torso".

They're actually meant to have peach fuzz, it's just not really visible in this style.

Yeah I don't have any currently uploaded (I'm not good at faces, so I make even the faces fairly equine) but if you request one I'll see if i can manage a profile at least.

I like these two a lot, they make the fantasy of a horse/human creature seem more logical and plausible. I was especially drawn to the legs of the Dune centaurette; her legs look reminiscent of local fauna, maybe a little giraffe or okapi inspired. Love it!

Thanks! I wanted to make them not entirely horselike, so there's aspects of other animals in there, too

I like the concept of several subspecies of a particular race "In this case a centuar". Very nice concept.

I like the way you blended the equine and human halves and gave each species a unique feel. It seems extremely genuine, like a photograph rather than an illustration. Keep up the good work!!

A awesome combination of proportions and features
I quite like how you managed to combine the human and the equine structures without one "overpowering" the other. And I also appreciate the way you blended the features so it's a distinct specie, not a merge of 2 different ones ^^

Nice combination of the bestial and human. They, unlike most centaurs, look like they could have evolved from either man or horse naturally or by breeding of the two.

I like the differences going on between the two centaurs, with the different builds, sizes, and coloration. I also notice the faces, particularly of the dune centaur, retains a bit of equine features.

Thanks. Yes, I like centaurs with slightly nonhuman faces, it seems to make things blend together a bit better.

Aha! Exactly. I noticed that with your centaurs. They feel more blended together, less like human and horse pasted together. Not that that is bad in and of itself, but making the two halves fit together is more challenging and interesting.
