Description Copper, Red cedar bark, White clay, and Dentillium. 25x32 cm. This is a follow on piece from Gushchu, [link] It is somewhat larger, and the cordage is Red Cedar instead of Yellow Cedar. Again I have tried to focus on forms that relate to the Pacific Coast of North America. I love the way the bowl turns inward, and thickens at the edge and around the piercings. I have also done a lot of edge treatments on the little conical form that makes the central hanger. The three clips that attach the cords to the bowl are copper and the curves are inspired by bent hemlock halibut hooks, I have used Dentillium not only as a decoration but also for the pins that attach the hanging cords at the top. The little round beads are high fired white clay. The hanging ring pivots so that the whole bowl may turn. I finished this too late in the season to use it for storing acorns this year, but in time.

I second what flufdrax wrote. And all those things are typical of your work.
