This is a one-sheet poster I did for Radical Publishing's Assassins a while back. A highly fictional and fantastical take on the medieval Crusades, its shows Richard the Lionheart and Saladin fighting side by side against hordes of assassins.Related content

Saladin fighting with a crusader in order to vanquish powerful forces don't chock me but... Richard the Lionheart, very suprising <3 I just love to imagine both of them say "we can't do it otherwise !"

Well, Richard and Saladin did say things to each other that indicated that they thought rather highly of each other, so this would probably be the medieval tag-team everyone's been waiting for.

It reminds me Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader pc game. It is a old game and its intro is about both Crusaders and Muslims against hordes of darkness. Well amazing work

This is a stretch to imagine, but it's not entirely unrealistic. There were assasination attempts on Saladin during the crusades and, probably, on Richard as well. Both men respected eachother immensely and, given the chance, I doubt either of them would have killed the other in single combat. Thus the badassery of this drawing is not only uberly awesome, but somewhat believeable.

heh, Walter Scott would've appreciated this one. Great pic, I'm quite sure Maimonides would provide the healing, and for crowd control, I'd figure a Hindu-wizard of some sort.
