Actually, Mormons in OTL didn't emerge in Nevada; they moved there after being "evicted" from Illinois. Given Nevada's not a part of the US, I'd imagine they wouldn't choose to move there to set up their colony; it's more likely they'd settle in the states of Pawnee and Arapaho, or maybe stay in Illinois.

Why is New Brunswick called Nova Scotia here? Did the colonists who requested the Royal Charter decide to go there instead?
Edit: Oh wait, wasn't that entire area called Nova Scotia at one point in history?

Nice map, but no way California stays independent. With it's resources and ports the US will inevitably launch an "Operation California Freedom".

It was never annexed by the US. Mexicoheld onto it with different degrees of autonomy until the 1910s.

The First Nations are treated more like equals in this TL, Universal Healthcare is enacted by President Tommy Douglas in 1953 (and its much closer to the British NHS than in OTL). Slavery was abolished in the 1791 thanks to the Canadian states, and the New Deal was the product of President Mackenzie King.

Ugh.. I fucking hate Canadians. A nation of entitled people with a smug sense of superiority to Americans. Also love the fact that anyone who dislikes or evenΒ has vague criticism of Canada is "American". How Canadian of you. I will take immense satisfaction when your nation becomes nothing more than a US puppet state and eventually gets annexed into America.
Edit: Very salty Canadian Nationalist, now are we?Β

In this TL Native Americans were given full cutizenship rights and their communities were recognized as legitimate local or in the case of the Iroquois and Lakota, state govenments. There are no reservations. There were some Indian Wars like in OTL but far more sporadic, and in most cases used by the US against European colonies.

Yeah, reading it and essentially Native Americans here were used as attack dogs against Tories, Spaniards, and the occasional Frenchman or Russian.

Vancouver City isn't called that in this TL. Its called Arnoldstown in honor of Revolutionary War hero, military governor of Quebec, and first Secretary of War, Benedict Arnold.

So in this TL Arnold didn't betray the revolution.

No, he's one of the Revolution's greatest heroes (he almost was in this TL) and had he not died from his battle with gout he would have become President.

Agreed. Even more, I doubt the Spanish government would feel intimidated by the US (they should, but OTL they considered their forces superior to the americans). By 1898 they have reorganized their forces in Cuba and have defeated the rebels in the western part of the island. The war was far from over, but the situation was going well for the spaniards. OTL it was Spain the one that declared war on the USA in response of their blockade of Cuba, thinking that it would be a short an easy war. In fact it was, but not in the way the spaniards thought.
Anyway, interesting timeline and beautiful map.
