(You want palette-swaps? I got sta.sh/21086h1srncj?edit=1 . I finally got my own message about horrifically overelaborate patterns! :3)
Or: "Man Do I Wish There Were Less Extreme References For This".
Because it's amusing to me, Mook Claire and Civilian Claire are yet another dichotomy in the "she's really not so murderously violent when you don't have a controller in your hands" series! You hush! It amuses me!
Claire Morgan is a muscular, 6'7" giant of a woman who used to be a much skinnier 6'7" giant of a woman, who at the insistence of her friend Cecilia, started getting into heavy training in an attempt to overcome her almost deathly shy demeanor. Seriously, just TRY talking to Claire; if she's not a friend of yours, you'll be lucky to HEAR her, let alone be able to parse through her stuttering near-inability to form words. She can't help it, everyone was rude and mean to her in her youth and never really learned how to talk to people without feeling like she wasn't wanted (or like people only wanted her boobs) :,3
Now, well, friend aside, she hasn't changed all that much, and tends to keep to herself - though she does like animals and enjoys drawing both them and the nature they tend to hang out in. Somehow, she let Cecilia talk her into taking up wrestling (which, surprisingly, Claire also likes watching), both as a means to defend herself, and as a means to break out of her shell (and watching her attempt to cut a promo is hilarious, with her just shouting at the top of her lungs and desperately pretending her opponent isn't there). Even she's surprised by how well she can do, and hey, now that she's tried taking a bit of a ninja persona, people stop trying to get her to talk. Can't break kayfabe, y'know!
But what if she makes a heel turn? THEN WHAT?! Here's what.
CLAIRE
A giant of a woman whose fists would give you two black eyes with one punch. She never says much, but her powerful wrestling moves can do the talking of five people, and it's always a no-DQ match when you meet her outside of the ring.
Fighting style:
--Claire is a pure power fighter. Either slip between her attacks or wait for her to whiff one, just whatever you do, don't give her the chance to land a hit, or worse, to grab you.
Attacks:
A) Claire has a striking combo attack in the form of two stomping punches and a toe-kick. The punches do high damage and the toe-kick does a little more still. The toe-kick will knock you down, but if she rears back for longer than usual before throwing her punch, her combo will stop there, with the result of a stronger punch that sends you flying.
B) Claire will raise her arms and open her hands. At this point, attack VERY quickly if you're within reach, otherwise Claire will grab you, and perform one of a few wrestling throws based on which palette-swap you're fighting:
--Vertical suplex (heavy damage)
--Half nelson bulldog (heavy damage)
--Northern Lights suplex (heavy damage)
--Whipping bodyslam (massive damage)
--Flying DDT (massive damage)
--Jumping hanging vertical suplex (extreme damage)
--Lifting one-armed choke to backbreaker (extreme damage)
C) If you have your back to Claire, she'll grab you and perform a German suplex that causes extreme damage.
D) Claire will kneel for just a moment, then leap high into the air and attempt to elbow-drop onto you, for heavy damage. It'll knock you down if it hits, but she can also do it if you're on the ground. Get up quickly when you're fighting her!
E) Claire will launch herself forward in a missile dropkick if you're a few steps away. If she misses, she's open, but she'll recover faster than you think. Deals high damage and knocks you down.
With Cecilia) Claire and Cecilia, and SPECIFICALLY Claire and Cecilia (Hilda and J.J. can also do this), have a team-up attack. If either team is on screen simultaneously, Claire can grab you from behind, at which point Cecilia will rush in - if you haven't yet escaped Claire's grip via the button prompts, Cecilia will proceed to land five kicks into your stomach and face, followed by Claire slamming you face-first into the floor, dealing horrifying damage.
All of the Claire variants have attacks A, B (though each one typically has one or two throws they'll stick to like glue, typically within the same damage range), and C available, D and E depending on swap and game progression.
Claire herself is the most dangerous of the bunch, though she holds back during your first battle with her. She has also shorter windups for Attacks D and E. Hilda is just as dangerous, with the one difference between them regarding their throws: Both Claire and Hilda know all seven throws, but use them differently: Claire starts with weaker throws but starts using more powerful ones as SHE'S more damaged (she upgrades every time she's out 100 HP, but locks into 'extreme damage only' the moment she hits 150 HP regardless), while Hilda picks throws based on the percentage of health that YOU have remaining, using her stronger ones to finish you off.
