After trying for so long to reach him , could Gaster finally be listening...?
Even the best defenses can only withstand so much damage . Man, remember when Papyrus tried to hold his hand way back when ? Finally, it's happening!
Papyrus doesn't know what a "son" or "child" is, but he knows what a "brother" is, in a sense. He's asked Gaster about if they were brothers before , and this isn't the first time he's called him brother , so to speak.
Papyrus did indeed talk to Sans about this , just as he says.
By "Look Forward" Gaster means trying to look further down the timeline . He's previously mentioned that he didn't show up in any of the data he recorded from those sessions (the TML files), but he attributed it to a bug. Now though, he's starting to wonder...
Had to letter this on my laptop, it may look slightly off. Eh.

Pappy tried to reach him, but Gaster's made his choice. He won't go back, he can't. Papyrus is right, he has a choice, he just choose to do evil. He's obsessed with the 'greater good' and that's what leads Sans to do what he does.

Asgore is like a dad. The Dreemurrs were his family after he had none, with Toriel and Asgore as the mother and father he had lost.

Aw that's so sweet and makes his fall from grace so sad. Because no matter what they did, no matter how much they loved him, they couldn't save him from himself. He's like Magnito in that he tries do something good but the way he does it makes him the villain. He has a choice, but continues to choose what is wrong. He's tragic and it shows how good the author is by how wonderfully they portray this
