Biography:
Kar claims to hail from a town in Siberia and the only comment he’ll make on his childhood was that there was a lot of snow. During his early tweens he began moving west as if following after someone, taking whatever odd jobs he could. His effectiveness and ruthlessness in getting the job done, especially with improvised equipment, attracted the attention of a higher up in the Imperial Russian Army.

Until his late-20s he acted as an irregular soldier, doing the army’s hidden dirty work, usually doing hits. However as the Bolshevik Party took power he was sentenced to death and what was left of the Imperial Army immediately disowned him, leaving him only as a murdering dog. However this mattered little to him as he had no real loyalties to the army.

He stayed for several years until someone drew him towards the US. So he snuck his way onto a ship bound for New York City and past immigration. Once again making his way with odd jobs, all illegal as he had no papers. A few months after coming to NYC, he took a job to make an example of someone who hadn’t paid his gambling debts. During the job, things went south. However Rose Ballantine had been there and shot the man dead, to which Kar was immediately in rage over as that rookie move attracted the attention of the police. Not knowing the streets of NYC, he had to rely on streetwise Ballantine to get the both of them somewhere safe. Seeing a great deal of potential in her, he took her under his wing, now being partner and mentor to her.

Their first encounter with Los Sabuesos was when they were hired to take out two current members. As it turned out, those members had been stealing shipments from the gang and making a profit for themselves, but had make a bad enough mistake with their buyer that he hired Rose and Kar to “handle” them. Having done the gang a favor, albeit inadvertently, and impressing them with their job performance, they were then let into the gang. Two for two.
