⌜➷⌟ a stir from the rito below, feathers just barely damp from the water droplets cascading down her body.
⌜➷⌟ chest slowly rising and lowering, an indication that she was still breathing! albeit haphazardly. . .
⌜➷⌟ after one more yell from the other, canary optics flutter open and stare up at the breaking of clouds painted on a light orange canvas above. had it not been for the last slivers of light from dusk, aries might have not been found.
⌜➷⌟ shifting in the boat to gingerly touch her head and wince, the girl locks eyes with the hero.

The girl groaned softly "Nhhh...." Before opening her eyes. She confusedly looked around, trying to recall what happend. "Wh-where am I?" She asked as she tried to sit up. She coughed up a bit of water, there were a few bruises on her body but it didn't look like the girl had any serious injuries.

"The ocean." The blonde answered bluntly, staring at the girl with concern. He reached over to support her as she attempted to sit up, taking the time to further examine her for any injuries. He hadn't really had the chance to, since he wanted to get her out of the water first above all else. Let's see...just a few bruises. Link sighed in relief. It wasn't like he had that many resources on his boat to begin with, and neither did he have many to actually be able to tend to someones injuries. He watched as she coughed up water, raising a brow.
"How did you even get here? I just found you face down floating in the ocean." Was there some new guy coming around fighting people and launching them into the ocean that he had to deal with? Perhaps not, but one usually didn't just lie still face down in the middle of an ocean for fun. He had to assume that the other got into some sort of altercation...hopefully they could remember.

Malaika looked around the area, but except from the boat, all that she could see was water. It didn't seem like the shore was anywhere nearby. But why was a 14 year old all alone on this ship? She didn't see anyone else aboard the ship.
"Ehm let me think for a moment..." She put her hand on her own forehead for a moment. ".. I was fighting someone, and they threw me into some kind of portal, it must've opened again above the ocean..." She said, wondering how she ever
was going to get back... was this even the same world?

The voice was completely unfamiliar to him and it didn't take much before he opened his eyes to gaze upon a blue sky. When did he pass out? What happened to him? No memories like usual. He slowly sat up covering his head feeling the painful ache rushing through like someone had knocked him unconscious on purpose. Looking around he finally met the eyes of a child? He did look alot younger, probably a couple of years. "Who are you?" He asked rather fast.

Link watched as the other arose, noticing the pain they were in. Unfortunately, as much as he wanted to help, he didn't have that many resources on hand on his boat. "'The names Link." He started, crossing his arms as he met with the others gaze. "I found you just kinda, like, floating in the ocean. You weren't near any islands, either. He felt like he should remember more than this but he had no memories whatsoever. Did he just recently get here? No. The questions were too farfetched. "My name is..Roxas. Anymore than that i can't remember. I was.." He tried to remember but everything was blank. "I..can't remember a thing. I was fighting something and someone protected me and then everything went black and..there is nothing more than that..it's all i can remember." He lowered his head in frustration. It was not the first time this has happened. He wanted to explain further but he couldn't without any memories whatsoever. "..I am glad i was found. I wouldn't know what could have happened to me if i was not rescued." He looked back at him. "Where are we?" Looking at the ocean he realized he didn't drift very far from where he was knocked out. "I don't recognize this place..even if it is just ocean.."

"Hey, hey! Can you even hear me?"// Link wasn't even sure if he should've brought the woman onto the boat or not, given how she resembled a salamander and donned fish-like features. Could she even breathe?
// To be fair, she didn't really look fine in the water either. And usually fish would rise to the surface whenever they were, like, dying, right?
// He bit his lip and furrowed his brow as he continued to examine her, taking note of the smoke rising from her charred torso. What was he even supposed to do about that?
// His talking boat who seemingly knew everything wasn't being much help either. And speaking of the boat, he had no resources in it to really help in this situation.
// Well, he had to try something! In a state of panic he yanked his tunic hat off and leaned over the side of the boat and cast it through the water, getting enough (but not too much in case it was a bad idea) water in it and tied it into a knot, then went back and rested it over the charred part of the salamanders torso in an attempt to soak the wound. He kept an eye on her to see if there was any reaction indicating that he should stop.

【和】The woman flinches. Her eyes twitched and they opened just ever so slightly. To her, everything looked so blurry, and blinding, she could just barely make out the form of the boy who found her. A green tunic, blonde hair, short. She felt she could easily slip back into sleep.
【和】Still, she tried to stay awake, however exhausting it was. It seemed like he was trying to tell her something, she missed most of it honestly. She started softly mumbling, somewhat incoherently.

【和】Her shaky webbed hand reached towards the hat, it stinged as the soaked cloth touched her injured flesh. She clearly winced.

The boy noticed her flinch and quickly drew his tunic cap back."Okay, alright, bad idea. Er..."// Link looked in either direction for any idea what to do. Maybe he should take her back to Outset? But what if the people there somehow made things worse? It'd be different if she was clearly Hylian, but taking a salamander-like creature to an island full of residents who wouldn't recognize her or her species was probably a bad idea. It might even stress her out more. Out of options, he had no choice but to ride things out and hope for the best."Alright lady, I've no idea what to do, but if you can give me any ideas then I might be able to do something."// The boy still wasn't sure if she even heard him or not, but it wasn't like he had anything to lose by trying to converse.

(i.) christmas time in london was quite an interesting and busy experience. the young witch was on holiday vacation and had decided to traverse the city streets, looking at all the wonders of the muggle world.
(ii.) juliet wasn't used to muggles, as she grew up in the wizarding world, so she found them to be rather interesting. they were purely human, nothing special at all. maybe that's why they were so intriguing to the witch. they had a certain normalcy that juliet would never have.
(iii.) yet being surrounded by them right now was a breath of fresh air. the atmosphere was cheerful, every tree decorated with beautiful white lights. the blonde soaked in the joy that was radiating everywhere, taking in the sights and sounds of the outdoor mall on a lonesome bench, sipping on her hot chocolate without a care in the world.

* (Lost, confused, and tired of calling out for Sans... Undyne... His human friend—anyone, he sat down on the cliff edge where the grave site was located.)

* (Windfall island was most certainly one of the blondes favorite islands to visit. Everything was rather happy and upbeat there, from the kind locals to the positive energy...it was certainly a relaxing location.)
* (The boy wasn't sure what lead him to the area, especially during the middle of the night, but perhaps he found solace in how peaceful and calm the island was during nightfall.)
* (Upon arrival, however, he felt a strange presence looming about the area, and he swore that he could hear someone calling out faintly in the distance.)
* (And, with that, he docked his boat and began his investigation, sword unsheathed and shield drawn.)
* (Link followed the faint calls in the distance, hunched and ready to spring into action, until things got quiet, and he wound up near the grave site.)
* (The blonde pondered his options momentarily, before deciding to quietly make his way up the hill and towards the site, just to be absolutely positive nothing was there...but he found something.)
* (A redead? In Windfall island?)
* (His posture stiffened and his muscles tensed as he examined the skeleton from a safe distance. Appearance wise, they looked a lot different from the typical redead, but instead of taking that as a good thing it only made him all the more apprehensive.)
"Hah!"* (Then, suddenly, the blonde sprung into action, lunging towards Papyrus with his sword drawn and ready to fight-!)

* (He hadn't heard or even detected anyone close by until Link shouted. Startled, Papyrus tried to turn around, but in doing so he was greatly frightened by the sight of someone weilding a sword and shield lunging for him.)
"OH–! WAIT!"
* (He nearly fell off the cliffside he was sitting at as he conjured up a rather sturdy bone with his magic, only ready to use it to defend himself and block the blow. Thank goodness for Undyne's first few training sessions. But, he didn't want to fight! He wasn't fully prepared to.)
* (He also wasn't ready to dive into the water below. Skeletons can't swim... He would probably float, though, with that round part of his battle body covering his ribcage.)

* (Probably the latter. Regardless, Link jumped back after the unsuccessful attack and stared at Papyrus with a shocked but intense expression. That bone came from no where- did they make it themselves? Was it magic?)
* (And, also, did the other speak? Maybe they were the person he had heard the calls from earlier.)
* (Instead of going in for another attack Link took a defensive stance and raised his sword at the other, drawing his shield in close.)
"Don't tell me redeads know magic now."* (Perhaps it was a bit presumptuous to still assume that Papyrus was a redead, given the fact that he very much didn't act like or look like one. But it was really the only thing that Link could identify the skeleton as, and anything identified as dangerous had to be taken care of.)
* (He drew forward very slightly, his sword tip still pointed at the other and shield drawn close.)"Why are you here? How did you get here?"

"I—I HAVE NO IDEA! PLEASE DON'T—PLEASE DON'T ATTACK ME!"
* (Rather terrified of getting hit, or even getting knocked into the water below, he kept the bone ready to defend himself. However, he was in no position to fight... This was clearly a huge disadvantage.)
"AND... I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT A REDEAD IS, BUT I'M NOT ONE! I'M SIMPLY A SKELETON! PLEASE, I PROMISE TO PUT THIS AWAY IF YOU PUT THOSE AWAY! ER, AT LEAST THE SWORD."
* (He added in that last bit because if the shield made this child feel safe, then he had the right to use it. But the sword did have to go. It made him uncomfortable, and was almost familiar to him somehow. A child weilding a blade...)
* (He usually didn't act or look so vulnerable, but he was caught off guard, in a place he didn't recognize by someone he didn't know. He quickly realized this and tried to make himself look more confident by straightening out his spine and bettering the grip on the bone he had conjured, though he kept it close to his body as to not alarm Link.)
"AH, YOU SEE—I JUST DON'T WANT TO FIGHT YOU! YES, I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, WISH TO MAKE A TRUCE WITH THE FIRST INDIVIDUAL I'VE MET ON THIS STRANGE... ISLAND? IS THAT THE WORD?"
* (He tried to offer Link a friendly smile. Maybe that would sweeten the deal?)

We usually don't get skeletons on Windfall Island so I assumed you were looking for trouble. "* (He took note of the fact that the skeleton didn't seem to know where they were.)" Last time I checked that's what these places are called! I take it ya aren't from here?"* (Now that he thought about it, how on earth would a skeleton even get through the ocean to a relatively remote island? Especially when they didn't seem to be under Ganons influence...)" You said you have no idea how you got here? What's the last thing you remember? "

* (He seemed happy enough with that reaction, and the bone he conjured vanished, leaving behind only a few specs of dust to fly away in the wind.)
"WELL, I WAS AT MY HOME IN SNOWDIN... AND I WENT TO BARGE INTO MY BROTHER'S ROOM! BUT INSTEAD, I ENDED UP IN THE LITTLE COVE UNDER US."
* (He did realize what he was saying wasn't exactly believable, but he was speaking the truth. He hoped that this child would at least give him the benefit of the doubt, because he wasn't lying!)
* (He frowned at a sudden thought. If this was anything, this was either his brother playing a terrible prank on him, or something went wrong with the door. Sans was known to use that door as a shortcut when he was home...)
"WELL, MAYBE I DO HAVE A SMALL IDEA OF WHAT HAPPENED ACTUALLY. BUT I CAN'T GET HOME! I'M NOT EVEN UNDERGROUND ANYMORE. AND THE DOOR I WENT THROUGH... IT'S GONE."

* (The boy yanked his sword back up from the ground and sheathed it, returning his shield to his back as well.)
* (He probably didn't need them. After all, this guy didn't seem like much of a threat.)"That, uh, sounds like quite the ride."* (The blonde paused and thought to himself before he continued. It was night, so no one would really be out right now, but what if someone found them? The people of Windfall Island were even less of a threat than the skeleton guy seemed to be, but perhaps it wasn't the best idea to be conversing out in the open for anyone to find.)
"Tell ya what, let's find somewhere safer to go talk about this and I can see what I can do to help you get back."
"The names Link, by the way."* (His offer came with a smile, even though he wasn't entirely sure where to take Papyrus. Maybe his boat could give him an idea...)

* (While he wasn't surprised Link hadn't heard of Snowdin, he also wasn't really happy to hear it. He really was far from home. Sans and Undyne would be worried sick back home...!)
"YES—I KNOW IT ISN'T QUITE THE MOST BELIEVABLE STORY, BUT IT'S TRUE."
* (He seemed pretty happy that Link believed him. He even smiled when the child introduced himself. That's a nice name! The skeleton nodded.)
"OKIE DOKIE! LEAD THE WAY, LINK!"
* (He scooted away from the ledge, and got up. Wow. Tall skeleton. He definitely wouldn't fit on that boat. He was too big to, unless he could take himself apart safely? But that probably wasn't a good idea.)
* (He continued to speak while he followed this kid. There was that confident attitude again.)
"I'M SURE YOU HEARD BEFORE, I AM PAPYRUS! THE GREAT PAPYRUS, PUZZLE EXPERT AND MASTER CHEF!"

* (Well, only one way to find out. The boy began on a path away from the grave site and towards where his boat had been stowed. Perhaps his boat would be able to give him guidance if they couldn't fit Papyrus in?)
* (Link was taking the skeleton along a path relatively secluded and away from the main area, but only to stay clear of any attention.)"Master chef, huh?"* (For someone who had gotten lost on a foreign island by walking into a room this guy sure seemed confident in himself. It was amusing, though.)"If I can't find the way back to Snowdin then you might have to use that cooking expertise on another island."* (Perhaps he could take him back to Outset, but maybe not. It was large, but the fact that it was large didn't play in their favor. People would certainly notice them.)"...Do skeletons even need to eat?"* (Link could spot the King of Red Lions not too much further away. He wondered to himself what his talking boat would think about this talking skeleton.)

* (He frowned a tiny bit, though he wouldn't mind being a cook somewhere too, if it came to it. He decided acting all sad and negative didn't look good on him, and so he smiled down at his new friend.)
"AND NO! WE DON'T NEED TO EAT. BUT I LIKE TO EAT! PASTA IS VERY TASTY, YOU SEE. HAVE YOU TRIED PASTA? IT'S VERY GOOD!"
