Description
Old man Wrex passes on his decades of knowledge to male Shepard. Garrus listens in. Ashley disapproves.~*~*~
Playing ME1 as male Shepard. Wanted to go full-on Renegade but found that hardcore Renegade Shep was rather anti-alien and a bit too pro-humanity for him to be buddy-buddy with alien crew. So I made him this weird combo of mostly Renegade so he'd shoot everyone in the face but non-Renegade enough that he'd willingly hang with Wrex and learn the ways of wooing women. Then try them on Ashley. And fail. Then go complain to Garrus. And get drunk. Then hit on Tali. And fail. Then hit on Liara. Then get rescued from mind-raep by Kaidan and Dr. Chakwas. Then go back to getting drunk with Garrus and listening to Wrex.

About the renegade, I love ME all of them. I can be renegade in 2 and 3, IĀ I prefer paragon myself, with no problem. Got the achievements for it and everything. However in ME 1, like you, I find it hard to be 100% renegade because he/she is to anti-alien and pro-humanity.

LOL Though I have a femShep, she has already slayed a Tresher Maw on foot, because Mako already was on fire that time.

My fem Shep started at some point in the latest playthrough to kill thresher maws on foot as a rule lately.
Together with Wrex offcourse (for obvious reasons you learn in ME2).
She's just that pissed off at those things killing her entire platoon on Akuse, that killing them in the Mako doesn't give her enough satisfaction... XD

Well, it already had only half of it' s HP left when I did it...
Today I repeated it willingly. It' s not that hard. First, you come to the field on Mako to ensure that the Tresher Maw appears. Once it has shown up, you get off mako and start running around him on the safe distance, so that it won' t hit you with your tongue. It will rarely dive into the sand and change position once you' re on foot, but if that happens, get back to Mako and ride circles across the field, until it shows up again. Avoid it' s poison blasts, because they can knock you out at once. Don' t stop shooting your target while you' re running on foot. Skills like Marksman and their equivalents for other weapons will speed the business up. Though my Shepard was a Sentiel, I believe it' s better to take companions with Combat Strength. I had Ashley and Wrex in my party. Also, Sentiels( I don' t know about other classes) have an ability named Neural Shock. It might be of help.

Actually, I think that if you took a missile to the face, it would automatically beat the Thresher Maw.

Wrex is always a badass, Never betrayed him in ME3, If I did betray the Krogan in ME3, It was Wrev meaning me or Ashley shot him in ME1, and that's only in a few playthroughs (out of the 20 playthroughs I've done so far and this is playing ME1 to ME3, I've only killed him off in ME1 three times, That's it)

P.S- Shepard, Garrus and Wrex are indeed the bro squad...in fact, my head-canon post ME3 is that Shepard survives destroy and marries Miranda. Then he, Wrex, and Garrus start a vigilante. Miranda facepalms.
