This Saturday I went out for a walk. My day was no good and I didn't even expect to use my camera. However, going my favourite route around the lake I discovered this cloudscape. I sat down and awaited weird formations to occur. That was the best therapy - my day suddenly converted into calm triumph. I sat there for maybe a whole hour in peace, observing the sky, the water with its minimal waves and letting the Sun warm me up. That said, it does pay off to wear black clothes

i wounder if it would help the image if u'd cut just a tad from the bottom of the water
just a thought... anyways, i love how you've captured the background in a asymmetrical way but with a very solid and eye catching feel... skies are cool too

I'm not a big fan of filters... but polarizing sure works when you'r around waters...

Love the effect of the polarizing filter on this one, I'm seriously looking into one - how much did it set you back? Anyways, love the cloud formation and the water - a perfect balance. This is a very earth photo with the browns of the island and the trees as well

the entire shot seems to wrap the viewer up in the same kind of thoughts u probably had at the time.. hence the large amount of viewers/favs on this one. It's an artistic shot and a good reason why nature photography is so much more

Nice feathery clouds you captured there, finally a good example of polarizer use. The dark water surface at the bottom could be a tad less pronounced for my taste, but a nice capture nethertheless...

It looks like a very nice place and a lovely day, correctly exposed and polafilter does the job right.
But maybe I see too much of such nature, so I feel it lacks that little extra to go the extra kilometre
