To be honest I've been wanting to do this for a while, but when kinda (inadvertently) threw down the gauntlet I just couldn't resist taking her up on the challenge. So this is my fanart tribute to one of THE coolest sci-fi movie trilogies EVER (outside of the other THREE main ones that rule my heart of course ) ... Mad Max. Specifically the eponimous hero himself, Max Rockatansky ... here portrayed in his BEST incarnation, from the second (and best) instalment The Road Warrior.

I'll admit, this one WAS just a labour of pure love for me actually. I had enormous fun, and it all came together awfully easily, right down to the pencils, which were spot-on first try. I am getting pretty confident with my colour work too, and I think it shows, not least in his wildly successful leather gear. And I'm SERIOUSLY happy with just how good I managed to get the Mel Gibson likeness, even while retaining my own "unique" style ...
