I like your style here. So many portraits of Spike seem to be done in a photo realist style, so it's nice to see something different.
You've caught the sense of his cockiness and swagger. I like his baseball bat. Though I'm pretty sure he never used one on the show, I like him with it here.
Someone commented that his upper body is too long, but I see it as just part of the stylisation you have going on, he kinda looks like he's been stretched and it fits the look.

It's interesting he kept that coat of his, after he got his soul back. I agree those striking features of his; made me wonder if he even eats anything with that bare bone face of his.

I can agree. Angel was always moody, about two slit wrists shy of being emo I'd say, even though I understand why. Spike's almost flamboyant personality was an attention getter right from the get-go. I'm glad they chose not to kill him off in the second season.

Soul-returned Spike is actually very much how I see Nemo actually ... the same tortured regret, and yet while he's striving to make amends and become good, he's still all acerbic and witty with it.

Time made him all sarcastic. Kinda like the Psychlos from Battlefield Earth (the book); once they were "cured" they weren't bloodthirsty but still were gruff due to upbringing.

Maybe ... in Nemo's case in his youth he was essentially USED by his father, essentially trained and conditioned as a killing machine, and then when his eyes were finally opened he rebelled, or "committed heresy" as the Divine put it. Basically he started a one-man crusade against everything he once supported ... and all the while he's filled with guilt and regret for the sheer weight of murder and brutality he once inflicted in his father's name ...

That's quite the pressure for one young man to endure.

He did kinda go off the rails a bit for a while because of it ... and his departure did A LOT of damage. When I say he's wanted as a "heretic" I'm not kidding - he's not just hunted because he betrayed his own kin, he also slaughtered a fair few Darklings on his way out ... and has killed a lot more since, too ...

So when are we going to see the exploits of this tormented (in more ways than one) young man?
