I started an adoptable sprites project inspired by Element's Graphics' "Mystery Eggs". September's Adoptables will soon be available here [link]

All three of these are pixel-overs. The circular objects that appear near each sprite are also pixel-overs to a degree. The art I pixeled over top of is not of my creation, and was not used with permission. As I get better at spriting, I will start to create my own poses.

All sprites were made in Adobe Photoshop on various days in August. I'll tell you a little bit about them:

Link - pose from a Super Smash Brothers screenshot - sprite took four hours plus some time for touch ups afterwards. Thanks to devinatART users imick and Sirithre for their valuable comments and criticism, which helped me improve this sprite and helped me decide on the style in which I would draw all these sprites.

Fox - pose from a Super Smash Brothers screenshot - sprite took two hours to make. Trying to get the gun to work was probably the part that took the longest.

Sylux - pose from Metroid Prime Hunters promotional art - sprite took two hours to make. The gun on his arm was the most difficult part of this sprite. I came up with some other variations, but nothing worked as well as this one.
