I love drawing these crazy ass freaks so much holy shit

Back with another Rebirth fanart! As I mentioned yesterday in the desc of my Gamera drawing, I wanna draw each of the Kaiju from Gamera Rebirth since I loved each of them and their designs. Making each of the artworks based off of their promotional posters and making all of them headshots. I would've done something more similar to what I did back in June where I drew the Heisei Gamera Kaiju, where I made big detailed pieces for each, but I wanna draw all of these drawings during this week and make one per day and since I just started school I don't really have the time to make daily detailed half/full-body artworks for a whole week so I gotta limit myself to headshots lol, maybe another time I'll draw more detailed artworks of each of these guys

The monster for today is Gyaos, since she was the second one revealed (I use she/her for all Gyaos by default purely because they were all female in Heisei, I know they never stated if they were or weren't all female in Rebirth but I'm just used to referring to all of them as girls so I'll keep doing that lol). I really liked the Reiwa Gyaos design! My only complaint is that it looks a bit too draconic compared to the Showa/Heisei Gyaos which looked more like bats or pterosaurs, but other than that I like them a lot! I like how skinny they were to the point you could literally see their spines and ribs. I also really liked how they put purple accents on their horns and spines, feels like a nice tie to the Space Gyaos from Showa. Overall I really liked the Reiwa Gyaos design, also like how they made it look similar to the 2015 Gyaos.

I loved how episode 1 was referencing Gamera: Guardian of the Universe, by having a swarm of smaller Gyaos with one single larger Gyaos, as a nod to the Super Gyaos. Super Gyaos is probably my favorite Gyaos iteration so it was nice seeing them reference her in Rebirth ❤

Drawing this piece was really fun! I got it done really quickly, like less than an hour, but that's mostly because the Gyaos don't have a too detailed design in Rebirth. I really enjoy drawing Gyaos regardless of incarnation, and Reiwa Gyaos was no exception! I had fun drawing her and I actually had a way easier time drawing her than expected, probably because I managed to find really good references even tho I thought I wouldn't be able to lol. Red is my favorite color so obviously I had a lot of fun working with it on this piece, since the Gyaos herself is red, her eyes are red, the lighting is red and the background is red. Again, really loved the purple highlights, they make a really nice contrast with the rest of the design and make the horns stand out, plus overall red and purple look really good together. The eye was also really fun to render, love how pretty and detailed the Kaiju eyes were in Rebirth <3

Really proud of this piece! Always love having red as a main color for my artworks, plus as I said Gyaos are generally really fun to draw for me! Can't wait to do draw the rest of the roster! ❤❤❤
