In the limitless, endless skies, this falcon can fly up and over the world and escape from the day to day life we all lead.
What a lucky bird.

Yet another watercolor (and another bird)!

But here's something different! I used NO LINES for the first time, and let me tell you, it was HARD. Like, extremely hard. I don't know if I'm gonna do many more like it for a bit x3;. I used so much masking fluid that I ruined one of my brushes :\. Ah well. I don't love how it turned out at all....:\ ah well again. This picture is very meaningful to me, though, so that's good at least .

This is a gyrfalcon, a beautiful white falcon that is the biggest falcon in the world (and my personal favorite). I've always wanted to paint one, so I finally did .

Similar clouds to my Stellar picture, I know x3. But it was from a different reference picture, yet it looks quite similar xD. That's okay, since it was the only sky that would work for this n_n.

I painted the background first, then the bird. Now I finally realize why people think watercolors are so hard to use (though I didn't have to much trouble; it was more the fact that you can't paint over it that killed me xD.)

Medium: watercolors only! and a bit of white acrylic for touchups
Time spent: a few days...so maybe 6-8 hrs? That's a complete guess.
Size: 9x12
Scan changed the colors completely, by the way XD.
