Description
Super Shadow versus Devil Doom. It took me a while to do this because my mother and sister kept taking up my drawing area (in front of the t.v. downstairs :3 ) In addition...I couldn't figure out a pose for Shadow. The best one seemed to be from behind, but then no one would be able to see his face! So, I decided to do a zoomed in version of him to the side. I think it turned out beautiful. Comment n' stuff.Minor change: I neglected to put in the quill below the top one. That's been added into the picture.

Not bad. Shadow doesn't look as thin as he should, his hair tuft is too blurry, and he doesn't blend into the background too well.
But when seen altogether, it looks pretty good. Good job.

The tuft is blurry because I couldn't get the white to look right on the bright lemon chiffon fur. So, I added the gray on the edges. I'm not sure I know what you mean by he doesn't blend into the background.

Some pixels looks out of place near his shoes and legs. It just looks as if he were added to the image rather than with it in the first place.

That was some sort of problem with the "drop shadow" it created those pixels
around his hands and feet for some reason.
I could not get rid of it without maybe messing it up a bit because I took
someone's advice and merged layers when I was finished with them (I hadn't
noticed those problems until I uploaded the image.)

But in good news, I found a good reference pic of Solaris, actually it's a video. Now I just need a working pose for him and Silver.
I'm trying not to do similar poses over again, but this boss is similar to
Devil Doom in terms of character position, etc in the game.

Sounds awesome. But y'know, I used to have that problem we just discussed when I used to use Photoshop. But when I switched to Flash, it doesn't complicate things. No pixels outta place, etc.

He's the final boss of the game Shadow the Hedgehog. I forgot to add one of Shadow's quills under the top one. I'm uploading the edit now.

Well...people came up with a lot of reasons as to why it wasn't great. Some didn't like it because it was darker than Sonic games, though it might not be right to classify it as a "Sonic" game, per se. I played through the whole thing and enjoyed completing the story. Many missions I found annoying,
but that's true for any game.
I suppose it's best to play it yourself. I believe most of the complaints were
about the X-Box version rather than the Gamecube version because of
controls.

Gamecube. Definitely Gamecube. There were complaints about the controls from those who bought the X-Box and PS2 versions. Also be wary that they were trying to go for a T rating (but failed), so the word "damn" is said a lot. XD It bothers some people, I found it amusing.

gloves. I purpose make the gloves like that to avoid
having problems with the shape or anything.

I really like the zoomed in version of Shadow on the left but the behind view of him seems.. boxy :S you should try practicing making your characters (or characters you draw I should say) look more... rounded off...or smooth looking.. I dunno... in the game he isn't so...straight edged... ^^ just helpful advice!

indeed. That might be a style I try to implement in next drawings. I'll likely use it on Super Sonic. However, I haven't found an idea for how to draw him. I want to continue my theme of 'supers' against bosses. I haven't played Sonic Next-Gen yet though... I also wonder if I'll do one for Tails and Knuckles.
