full view is very interesting, but its pretty big, it shows more texture.Its a drawing beacuse thats what it is even though i used graphite, pastel, water sol. caryon, and guache on denril (opaque vellum plastic) over paper. and in a sense its abstract but its a portrait, this is only a smaller part of the original piece in which the angel is visible and the nose in the corner of this one belongs to an entire face. The "finger painted" face is an adpatation of my girlfriends face from a profile photo but i made her looking more angry and "bottom lit" which makes it look colder/film noir-ish...i did it for a class called masks and mirrors which deals with abstract theory and portraiture together. I hardly ever use color so my professor challenged me with that but both him and i thought it was decent in the end. Enjoy...

This truly is a beautiful submission. Your combination of imagery and the colors that fills them convey moods of inevitability and end of hope(to me, anyway). Your carefully chosen colors links the images together and the skillfully drawn artwork keeps the viewer enthralled. This is truly an exceptional artwork!

Well, I think it turned out very nice, wish I could see more of the piece.

thats awesome, and yes, he rules. the school i go to is owned and was started by the museum of fine arts in boston and we have free access to the museum which alone is an awesome resource as well as some of that which is not on display and they have a number of his prints currently i think only one of them is on display but thanks for commenting and thanks for the fav
