Wow, this really works. Β Lots of detail but it doesn't come across as noisy. Β It first hits you just as great texture, and then when you look closer the details and smaller structures come out. Β I like the lines (cuts) breaking out of the individual panels in the center of the chest. Β It's also obvious the huge amount of work you put into this when I start looking at each individual panel. Β I love this.

This is beautiful. I was looking at armour for women and getting annoyed at all the chainmail bikinis and then suddenly... this. Just... this. It's amazing!

how much would it be to get one made?

Unfortunately I currently don't take commissions.
However, this costs quite a lot of work so it would be rather expensive I'm afraid.

Hey, how do you do the pattern?
Do you do it with a hammer and iron, you rub it into the leather, or do you do it differently?
π: 0 β©: 1
Lynfir In reply to strg-alt-entf [2012-10-28 20:07:53 +0000 UTC]
I make my patterns out of paper. There is nothing molded aout them really.
It's quite tricky to explain.. It's the same process with which I made the Horned Helmet [link] for instance.
It's mostly just a lot of circles sewn together so they make a ball shape.
It takes quite a lot of effort and puzzling, but eventually it just works.
Quite a crappy explaination. Hope it did you any good!
