This move can go from a tiny spark in his hand to surrounding a large area in electricity. It takes a lot for Dario to get to that stage, though, as it usually takes a lot of energy to produce that much electricity. The only time he will use a full discharge is when is enraged, which is pretty hard to do in the first place. Dario makes very tiny and weak discharges every day to keep the energy levels in check.

■Move Description: He learned frustration from his grandfather Flavio. It was supposed to be the move Return, but the more time he spent training with his grandfather, the more he despised it. The move he learned instead was Frustration. Once his grandfather found out about it, they stopped talking. Which only made the power of frustration grow. It is not that strong of a move yet, but Dario would rather use that than Discharge. His eyes will glow bright red before he lashes out a few punches.

■Move Description: A move that he never really practiced that much. It can only create a small force-field around himself, it can last up to a few seconds. He is currently trying to teach his niece how to do the same. Dario will more often resolve to using protect than fighting back, even if can still only produce two per day.

Dario has never been hard to describe when it comes to his personality. The one trait that stands out is his laziness, and there is not really much else. He is rather plain and straightforward. Does not talk more than necessary and finds it slightly annoying when someone else does. However, he can and will ignore blabbermouths if he gets the chance. Dario is often distracted by trivial things and will more often stare at a plain wall than an intriguing painting, only because the wall had a slight crack in it. As far as his parents know, he had always been like this. Kept to himself and quietly contemplated life at the lonely swingset. He had a bit more energy when his sister was around, but it seems that her betrayal drained all the remaining energy he had. He tries his best to be optimistic around his niece and hides all the worries he might have in her presence. In fact, that is what he is like with most people he cares about. His excuse is that there is no need for them to worry about him because it wastes useful energy. Dario is actually quite thoughtful and clever, but it never really shines through because of how he presents himself. Before his life went the way it did, Dario planned on being an astronomer, finally get to use that clever and lazy brain of his. However, that did not happen and Dario is still content with silently watching the star while protecting the one he loves the most.

In a decently large apartment in Luminose lived a happily married couple and their newly born son, Dario. With their little Shinx, they felt blessed and knew that this meant that happy times were to come. And it did. When Dario was 5 years old his younger sister, Yun-Seo, was born. Dario could not ask for anything better, he absolutely adored his younger sister. Finally he had someone he could talk to without fear of being judged, because she did not know better! She was a baby! The two grew up very closely and had a strong bond. Sibling rivalries were few and far between, they were easily broken up, they did not want to stay mad at each other for long. Dario was glad that he had a friend that would always be there.

His teens were nothing impressive or special. With high school came late night studying and major stress took a hold of him. If he was not studying, he was off training with his father. He was the oldest and so had to take care of his younger sister. Yun-Seo was the person who kept him grounded during this time. Her childish innocence and beaming smiles helped him relax when things were really bad. Dario only hoped he could do the same for her when she reached that age. In the beginning he could, she was happy for the help her brother could give her. She eventually wanted to try doing things on her own, and Dario knowing this meant she wanted to be independent, let her. The stress got to her badly and when Dario finally suggested to help her out again, she snapped at him in frustration. Dinner that evening was tense, and his parents made it worse when they compared Yun-Seo to Dario. Telling a stress filled teen that her older brother could do something she could not was not the best thing to do. She screamed at her parents that she was not Dario and left the table in rage. After that evening, she came home later and later. Excused it by claiming she was at the library with her friends, but Dario knew for a fact that the library closed rather early. Dario's worries about his sister's whereabouts grew and in the end, he had to follow her. The scene he saw in front of him would turn into a repressed memory. The next minutes went by in a blur, shouting at his sister, his extreme anger and punching the light out of a stranger. The stranger was Yun-Seo's boyfriend and Dario could understand why she would yell that she hated him, but that did not make the words hurt less.

Yun-Seo was closely watched after that. She got into therapy, which helped a lot, but the biggest damage was already done. She was pregnant. Dario should have been mad at her, but he could not get himself to feel nothing but sorry for her. She most have felt really bad too, because a few months later, she came crying into his room and apologized profusely for her behavior. She explained that her friends forced her into doing things she did not want to do, often telling her that it was normal for teens to do. Dario was furious at her "friends", but he knew better than to go after them. It would probably make everything thing worse. Therapy helped so much that after a while she started acting more like her old self. However, the closer she came to birth, the more she came to Dario for comfort. She was utterly terrified, she did not know what would happen to her once her child was born. Her worries held meaning once Eunju was born, except for her mother and Dario, her family turned their backs to her. They were furious that she did not put the child up for adoption and continue her education, what a disgrace Yun-Seo was for her family.

It was three months before her 18th birthday that Yun-Seo came to Dario with her plans. Once she was of age, she was going to leave Lumiose for a fresh start and had to leave Eunju with him. She did not believe that she could be a good mother with how many mistakes she had made, she also actually wanted to finish her education and she believed it would be difficult with a child around. Dario and Yun-Seo discussed for a while before Dario reluctantly agreed. He could take care of Eunju until Yun-Seo was ready. And at 18, she really did leave. She had told her mother her plan just before she left, so that she could give the word to everyone else. Dario took Eunju with him and raised her with some help from his own mother.

It was not until the tension surrounding move usage that Dario began to worry. He now had a child to protect, and he had spent countless hours training with his father so he could best utilize his own moves. Moves are a part of them, and it would unfair to strip them of something that made them unique. It was not long until he heard the rumors about Argo Navis and how they supported move usage and would fight the new ban. When he first got the email from Mr. Cool he thought it was spam, but he read through it and replied quickly after he received it.
