Description *whew* And another project off the list! A set of jedi robes that doesn't look like a last minute slapdash from my closet.

Decided against the 'classic' taupe/natural/brown color scheme since I had 4-5 yards of the black fabric anyway, Inspiration was the classic black and white formal kimonos worn by Samurai in 16th Century Japan with some obvious tweeks.

The Tunic, Dickie are made from Simplicity 0579 (now out of print) from white loose weave linen.

The Belt and Sholder Armor also made from Simplicity 0579 from black faux/woven suede

The "pants" is actually a Hakama based off the directions on this page [link] and made from a similar woven suede as the armor, though not the same fabric.

Wow this looks great. I'd love to own a set of robes that look like this.

The pattern is pretty simple and a Simplicity you can still find it out there, though it's not as obviously 'jedi' on the front.

The only flaw I have with it is it's not made for women with any sort of figure LOL I may have to go back and tuck in the sides to get it to fit better

I'll have to take a good look out there and then get out the sewing machine.

Being male I don't tink it'll bother me quite as much

With the tabrd-thing it looks a lot like Jedi Historian robes... just minus the symbols.

I did make them a bit long (pure accident) my pattern was for men and I didn't adjust for my smaller frame. Oh well, thank you!

Again, I wish that I had the space. No wonder why Cross stitching has taken over my life.

It is much easier when it can fit in one bag.

So, I have been dealing with a death in the family as well as a nasty head cold. I will email you the details later.
