In the story this was based on (Highly Improbable by Vocalion), Snape has a few misadventures and ends up having to wear in kilt because it's the only clean clothes he can find. Trust me, it's a hilarious tale

I think it is highly realistic, provided that McGonagall teaches Griffindore house the ridikkulas charm to be used on humans.
