also got the 2000 kiriban and requested Kenshin. I managed to justify sticking it into the Topics to Draw category (see ~Kugen 's journal for explanation) 013 - Heart Beat because this is the moment where Kenshin is still, and all it takes for him to draw and complete his strike is a heartbeat. PLus, can't you just ehar the soundtrack right now? Kenshin facing off against an opponent, but ready, watching the other for the slightest breath of movement, and the music in the background cuts off except for the sounds of a heart beating...

...ok, so it's a justification, but it wouldn't fit into *anything* else and by God, I'm going to do as many of these topics as possible!!

Sketched offline, then inked with my Tachikawa manga pen and a Micron 08 size for the thicker lines, then cleaned up in Photoshop, painted in Painter, and imported back into Photoshop for cleanup and the last highlights on the sword hilt and his hair.
