Color version of the pencils I did at AnimeFest, which I'll be uploading next. Scanned in, threw some color on using Photoshop layer controls. Result: blah. I'll probably redo the color into somethign I can stand, but I'm not sure exactly how yet.==========================
I drew the pencils of this at AnimeFest, after four different people came up to me asking if I had any color versions of Sesshoumaru from Inu-Yasha. I had one person inquire as to the price of this, but I set it fairly high because I rather liked it and wanted to take it home and make prints, so he didn't bite.
Anyway, done TOTALLY WITHOUT REFERENCE while sitting at the con so I know I screwed up on his armor thingy and anyone posting to tell me will have to suffer me pointing at them and laughing. The horror!
I even phoned up a friend and asked him to describe Sesshoumaru's facial markings to me because I couldn't remember if they were on both sides or just one.
Any resemblance to Kougaji from Saiyuki is entirely coincidental. Er, yeah. *shifty look*

Entirely coincidence, I assure you! Pay no attention to the picture of Kougaji behind the curtain! I didn't use it for reference! And I wasn't even there! It was in a distant country and long ago, and besides, the wench is dead!

I really do like the way you did his hair. Its very nice and more unusual; aka differnt from anime but still very cool.
I'm one of the people you saw at the anime convention! You did a sketch for me of Sesshoumaru.

It's beautiful... all of it. I love the softness in the fur. I can't imagine drawing him without reference @_@ Then again, I rarely do Inu Yasha fanstuff either. Still, great job!

Well, *technically* I had reference - I had a copy of #4 of the Saiyuki manga, which is why I ripped off Kougaji for it. I vaguely remembered his outfit from that oekaki I did at Ninja-Monkey, although not well enough.
Some girl came by, bought stuff from me, then asked for a quick con sketch of Sesshoumaru, so I obliged her, but I *completely* forgot he wears enormous balloon pants so I got vague on the lower half of his body. At least I remembered the two swords.
Man, I love Sesshoumaru. I ought to go rent more Inu-Yasha and watch it tonight while I'm working up these Capcom things. It'll get me offline, where I usually waste time checking DA and LJ every thirty seconds instead of drawing.

This is really nice. For some reason, the coloring reminds me of an older anime.. like record of lodoss war or something. I don't know the character that well, so the armor doesn't bother me one bit- it looks cool, that's all that matters! ^^
