Beautiful work! Great detail and texture in her hairstyle and those eyes are really piercing- and that shade of green really compliments her skin tone and hair colour. A very nice portrait!

The easiest way I've found to do eyes is to do them on the same layer as the whole face. Whenever I add them on a separate layer they look like they're just stuck on to the face 
The iris I actually do really simply, I rough in a circle with the solid base layer, then take a darker colour to shade where the pupil will be and at the top for shadow, then I take a light colour and roughly circle around for the main highlight, then I change my brush setting to linear dodge or colour dodge and stroke over the highlight to get the sort of line highlights.
Then I go for a really dark near black on a new layer for the pupil, and on another separate layer I take a pale near white on linear dodge for highlights in the pupil.
Don't know if that makes any sense at all, lol.
I can do a step by step for you if you'd like?
I'm doing one on skin and texturing for someone else so I can do two birds with one stone and do both on the one portrait.

Thanks. It's mostly just waking up for school, and the teachers are all giving our class massive projects and papers right now. My exhaustion only last for roughly the first hour, so it really isn't that bad.Β

The commissions went pretty well! I got about $80, and one person ordered multiple and was interested in ordering something else from me down the line, which is cool. It wasn't enough for me to get down on my own, but it was enough to help my parents with the petrol and hotel a bit. And then the hospital cancelled my appointment with four days notice I've rebooked for November, but I couldn't really wait until then because I was in so much pain so I went to my GP and she tried to call someone at the hospital, took 2 and a half weeks for them to get back to her and nowΒ I'm on a new medication. It's starting to help more than the last one was so that's good.
So I'm gonna open commissions again soon. I've been wanting to open them for a little while but I've been waiting for someone to get back to me about a pre-booked one, but it's been like 3 almost 4 weeks now and I can't really wait any longer :/ I already sent them a note a little while ago and I don't wanna hound them with messages... idk.
Ugh, yeah, school starts way too early, it's actual science that teenagers' brains don't start fully functioning until like 10am and still schools in America and Australia are like 'we should start school earlier, school doesn't start early enough' like the heck???

Education is weird. It's like: "I don't know how to balance a checkbook or do taxes, but thank goodness I know calculus that I'll never use in my life!"Β
I'm high school, but it's my senior year, so I'm drowning in projects. Somehow, I always manage to get them done early because my brain will bug me about it otherwise. XD What about you?Β

YES! A THOUSAND times yes! Kids are becoming adults and they don't know how to do their taxes or open a savings account and yet apparently advance math and science is going to help them? WTF? One of the reasons I was grateful to start homeschooling early on in high school, I got a lot more freedom and my parents used it to teach me things that will actually help me now that I'm an adult.

I was doing a uni course via distance but I ended up not being able to complete it when I got sick as all the assignments had to be handwritten and I wasn't physically able to do it. I'm not really sure what I'm gonna do now when I'm completely back on my feet, I'll just have to figure it out as I go along
