Description You can cut me open
You can leave me dry
I suggest you kill me
'cause you're never taking me alive

You can tear my heart out
Strip away my pride
Do your best to break me
But I promise you, I will survive

(I hope this makes you feel a bit better )

I've done a lot of this kind of stuff recently. Trying to get emotion down onto paper rather than scrutinising over the (many) anatomical errors and perfect shading. I'm actually pretty proud of the outcome

P.S. Sorry about the crappy photo. My scanner died

Thank you
I do miss my gritty, emotional traditional pieces. It seems I've been having so much fun experimenting with digital art and drawing my own charactersΒ that I've lost the spark for them.
I hope to get it back one day.

....It's fate! It's telling us something... maybe.. maybe we're all characters from another world?! (Oh man I wish.. )

Haha I need to get back to it.. when I get the time.. I just figured out a new book so.. Yay now I have more stuff to procrastinate on.

Ohhh could we be so lucky?!?!

Haha, really?? Is it as hard to plan out as your other one?

Yes we could.

Lolz, not this time, which is one of the reasons why I want to do it. I want something I can work with faster while I have the other one on the side. This one will be more adventure/children's book which gives me more room for general goofiness and I can tkae more inspiration from my own life as well.

That is a really good way to do things. I can't really not write, so whenever I plan one thing I write something else otherwise I go crazy I really like the idea of an adventure/children's book too, I've always wanted to write one just to illustrate it Or better yet, I've always wanted to write one that could be turned into a Disney movie Haha, I've seriously never told anyone that I feel all dorky admitting it

Will you be posting this one anywhere?

sparrowcrazy In reply to TheDivineMissM-94 [2013-02-24 19:04:05 +0000 UTC]

Exactly.. it gets dull just planning all the time. Mwahaha don't, that's like my main way of imagining my books.. I imagine how it would look if I was making a movie from them (I totally hope I will be able to do that in the future.. ) So I can go on a long walk in the forest and just see where the perfect places would be for different scenes. Maybe I should limit it a bit cause I tend to do that and not listen to a word my mum says to me if we walk together, she's like "did you hear anything I just said?".. I'm like "ehmm..".

We're both dorks! And proud of it!

I doubt it.. I really don't trust internet. But I might send you a chapter when I've written it.. you can give a second opinion.

Yeah, sometimes you need to add something else fun and easy into the mix, also to keep you writing, because--like art--if you stop for a while you tend to get rusty :/ I do too! I pick places and actors, I also tend to act out my scenes, it really helps to visualise it but it's kind of embarrassing when you get caught mid fight scene Haha, I zone out like that all the time and my mum's like 'You're not even listening, are you?' and I'm like 'I got an idea...' and she'll roll her eyes and say 'Go write it down and come back and listen to me!'

Super dorks!!

Can't say I blame you, that's why I'm not posting on Wattpad anymore. I'm getting a little sick of the site, or more so the tweeny-bopper trolls who read the one story that has ON HOLD written in caps in the TITLE and then whine and complain and ask when the next chapter's going to be out Teenagers frustrate me to no end, they have since I was one

I would love to be your second opinion!

Man do I know it.. lol, I haven't actually written anything proper for ages, mainly because of homework and partly because of writers block. Now I have trouble getting back into it.

Me too! I actually pick out actors who suit me best for my characters and then I keep their pics with my background material.. it sort of helps getting the focus of stuff and not loose youself too much.

Haha I do that too... only I tend to do it in the shower... or when I'm alone at home.. that saves me embarassing situations. Mind you somtimes I forgett and end up being in some public place muttering dialogs under my nose. And also a tip.. don't try to act out an action scene in the shower.. it's hazardous I nearly slipped.

(<- Dummy army!)

Lol I totally forget to check in on that site.. I just keep getting new notices and I'm like.. I haven't even read the first one yet!

Haha I feel your pain, so do I. Teenagers and little children.

Yay!

Me either, I think I've written about 2 pages in the past 2 or 3 weeks, and that's only rewriting the last of what I had On the plus side that's what was keeping me stumped, so I'm broke through my writer's block. Now I just have to find energy to write It won't be tonight that's for sure. I had my first B12 shot and it didn't hurt a bit and my eyes are perfectly healthy But now I'm super tired

I find that one of the best cures for writer's block is writing out prompts, things like background info, scenes you know and where you might be able to place them, things you want to happen to your characters and story on the way, stuff like that. I have a tonne of Powerpoint slideshows with pictures of everything and anything to do with my characters, from eye and hair colour, to facial features, clothes, and art I find on here that represents them. That's another really great way to break through writer's block :

Haha I totally think of dialogue in the shower, only problem is I end up doing a nudie streak for post-its with shampoo in my hair When no one's home of course, awkward much? I do that too, my brother always catches me talking to myself and pays me out for it later >.< and yes, I can imagine acting out scenes in the shower would be dangerous, let's not try that again

Haha, it's Super Dummy's followers!!! Aww, le gasp needs followers too now AHA!!!

You can turn off notifications and just use the newsfeed on the site when you're logged in as your way of keeping up to date with everything, but if you're like me and don't log in often then you miss a lot of stuff like comments and posts and stuff.

Little children are sort of okay, it depends on the child itself for me. Most of them are bastards these days But I think that's more the parents lacking discipline. When I was grocery shopping the other day I heard one lady telling her little kid who was throwing him a tantrum that if he stopped she'd buy him McDonalds on the way home No wonder they carry on like that when they know they'll get rewarded for it And after that I saw this one mum totally whisper yelling at her kids that they were getting every electronic item taken away for a week if they didn't start behaving, I was like 'You go lady! Parent those kids!'

I haven't written anything in months! I think I'm gonna starts writing a journal/diary it might get my writing rolling again. Somehow I always write much better diary entires than when I write a book. They're actually funny! I need to get that flow in normal writing as well.

That's great! Though not so great that you're tired perhaps. Aren't the shots supposed to give you more energy?..

I agree.. it's the best way to at least keep going with the book and then the block passes and at least you have more material to work with. I can't have material on the computer though.. I need to be in my room at my desk.. no technicall stuff, I like my oldfashioned corner.

That's hillarious.. I hope noone ever asks us how we come up with new ideas for books..

No le gasp followers?

Yeah.. I don't logg in very much so I'll probably keep it.

Yeah that really depends.. most kids here are little screaming and spoiled brats.. Or some are just crying babies.. which in itself isn't their fault but that's about the most horrbile sound I know.. the worst being when you're stuck in a tram/bus and a baby is crying non-stop and I'm like "what's ductape for people.. use it!" *note: don't let me near children*

That's... a good way to raise your child.. Haha now that's more like it. *approves*

Journals are great ways to keep your writing from going rusty, especially when you don't have the time to write anything substantial. A quick entry here and there really pays off.

They are, after you've had the full course of six, I've only just had my second today. I have to have four from Monday to Thursday next week because they have to be done in 2 weeks >.< At least my arms haven't been sore afterwards.

Really? I find I have so much trouble keeping everything organised if it's all in notebooks and on post-its. Mind you I have about a thousand post-its scattered across my desk, end table and floor (I have nowhere else to put them >.< ) that I really need to sort out I use Microsoft OneNote, you have different 'journals' and different sections in them, and you can close and open them whenever you need. It's really handy. My arthritis also gives me trouble writing traditionally, I have to be careful how much I do because if I put the slightest bit too much strain on the one joint it's gone to shit >.<

Haha, awkward much? You're sitting in an interview and you're asked 'How do you get your ideas?' ' Uhhh... you know, music, TV, that sort of stuff '

Well we won't have any le gasp followers if he keeps hitting them all in the head with his baguette! Ah who cares, it's fun to watch

Good idea What's annoying me at the moment are a few people on there who are posting multiple messages every day, it's like 'Gaiz!! You're clogging up my inbox! Stahp!!' >.<

Baby crying while you have a migraine is the most horrendous feeling known to man, I swear it You know what really sucks though? The smell of baby puke, like rotten bananas And the way they projectile vomit all over the place Haha, duct tape, that's EXACTLY what it was meant for!!! (Also to keep the projectile vomit in Seriously though, what's up with that??? You'd think they were extras from The Exorcist!!) Well I definitely don't think we should be allowed near any small children for a while that's for sure

And they wonder why childhood obesity is at an all time high?

Great work, shoulders are good but a bit narrow, you have to improve the proportion of the forearm at that angle, the fingers are long, but I see a nice angle in each one. I see something strange between the chin and the throat, maybe it's for a long neck. I love her navel and her belly. Overall, it's a good work. Keep on this way.

Finally, I love the feeling, I did some works like this many years ago.

Yes! I see everything you've listed. I'm terrible with anatomy and proportions, something I'm trying to get better at so thank you very much for listing some of things that I missed!

Really? I'd love to see some of them! I've done so many emotionless portraits, I just needed to get everything I was feeling through November onto paper

Thank you Hales I will definitely be darkening it up in my sketchbook, but until I successfully resuscitate my scanner, it will have to do on screen for a while. I'm sick of arguing with my camera
