I'm really liking the range of emotions that can be conveyed just by a pair of hands, so I'm thinking about making a series of these.
Also, my scanner and I are not on the best of terms, hence the crappy photo in which my camera auto-focused on the right hand
I'll probably upload a better copy later.

Well if youΒ already have the emotion and shading ofΒ realistic hands down then it'll be an easier transition to realism in portraits. As cheesy as the saying practice makes perfect is, it's also very true (minus the perfect part

Ooh these hands look wonderful. You know, I actually quite like drawings hands... even though sometimes the positions I need to draw them in are very confusing/frustrating.

I hate drawing full bodies in profile or from the back, because I can't for the life of me figure out what happens to the part where ankle meets foot
