After the People's Federation of Ostakar, and the Triumveration revealed their new medium tanks R.A.N. knew they needed to play catch up. With all possible enemies having Medium tanks leagues ahead of what R.A.N. had at the time, they quickly developed a new Medium Tank armed with two 75mm guns,an AT Gun and a howitzer. The answer was the T-30 Medium tank. Armed with a 75mm AT gun, and an 75mm Howitzer, the T-30 medium tank was the best thing R.A.N. could make at the time. Due to the rushed nature of the tank, the T-30 was somewhat crudely made, crew conditions was long thrown out of mind and the tank severally lacked in ammunition for two main guns that both required different rounds. Due to these short comings a replacement was quickly drawn up, one that had all the good of the T-30, but none of the bad. However, regardless by the end of the T-30's career around 800 where built.
