Description
Moments would pass until a Helicopter picked up a signal. They diverted course and tracked it to find a single military emergency raft with two people aboard. The woman who had fired a flare, and one unconscious man. Steve Trevor’s concussion was deep but he would awaken from it. As his eyes focus, he spots the woman again through a foggy haze as he says “Angel...”, but as he focuses his eyes he sees the face of Diana Prince. Shocked, he sits up and looks about.

“Where...where are we?” asks Steve

“Walter Reed Hospital. Please tell me you are feeling better?” replies Diana.

“I feel...wait...the Island...that girl...how did we...”

“Steve, we never made it to the island. We apparently skipped off the canopy and landed in the ocean. We have been adrift for at least a day before the plane finally sunk. I dragged you to the raft, and have been taking care of you since the crash.”

“The papers...What about the papers!” Steve looks about excitedly.

“I took then to the Pentagon. They have been translated and decrypted but we are still stumped. General Cole wants you to go over the notes, and maybe you can find some insight on what is the Viral’s next move.”

Steve looks over the data on a laptop handed to him. “Viral, yes...I remember...but how are we supposed to contact the General if our communications are being monitored?”

“The General said by no mistake, me and you are a team. We work together on this, and he doesn’t want you going in on this alone. Apparently they have developed some chemical that can easily dilute itself into water. One drop of it can paralyze a man. If Viral unleashes that on a city, especially Washington D.C., The country could be vulnerable.” states Diana.

“But what for? What would that accomplish?” asks Steve as he winces a bit. Diana makes him set back.

“You relax a bit, and go over those notes. I have to go to the bank, but I should be back in a few hours. Remember Steve, don't leave without me.” With that she exits the hospital room, as Steve glances over the notes.
