how would you move the smudge tool when you go over the shadow lines? like, do you smudge in a zig-zag direction or what? i'm trying to do this with photoimpression4

When I smudge the shadow lines on the hair I tend to go in the same direction as the line, because zig-zagging will ruin the lie completely. I hope I answered your question.

It's not a very perfessional way of coloring I think...but it gets the job done with positive results. ^.^ I hope it helps!

And hey if you really wanna color a straight line in Photoshop press the shift button click in one area and then go click in another area! This equals instant straight line action! ^.^
