Well, there is little mouse art here, and they are actually pretty fun critters... Not that I see them often, they are experts at hiding. Also, a good excuse to draw mushrooms - which is also something I wanted to try!
Some fun facts about the harvest mouse, which I found out while drawing this:
- They are are smallest rodent on earth. They can climb on grass, that's how light they are.
- Their Latin name also reflects this: It translates into "very small little mouse"
- The Swedish population was found when cats caught them and brought them home to their owners. "Look hooman, a new mouse species, I thought you wanted to see it"

The mouse looks amazingly realistic, I love it! I especially like the darker fur streaks on its back and the different colors. The mushrooms are super cool and pretty. Where to start though.......well for one the Mushrooms look absolutely AMAZING great choice in color taint they blend in seamlessly with the pale green texture of the grass placed so elegantly on top the tree branch which is just as well made!

This is very beautifully made and inspiring. The detail on this picture is very impressive, with a realistic, almost 3D effect given to everything from the moss to the grain of the bark, to the mouse's fur; the detail of the background is impressive as well, truly capturing the feeling of a forest, and the expression on the mouse's face is very cute and charming. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="
Pieces such as this are very impressive and awe inspiring, and one can truly see the heart and emotion that went into this picture; this artist's efforts would surely serve as an inspiration to all.

This wonderfully drawn! Very well detailed. You can tell what is going on, and you can see each tiny detail. The undertones to the fur are very well shown, while the lighting is present. The shadowing is very unique. The moss on the wood has a wonderful green to it, the wood is perfectly grooved and shows detail.
It all gives depth, the background especially gives the drawing incredible perception to what is being presented. I love the little whiskers on the mouse, so tiny yet visible. The mushrooms are a glorious pink with a lovely darker tip. Great work !

This is a wonderful work of art.
The detail is amazing, from the subtle whiskers, reflectivity in the eye to the rings on the tail.
And the soft flow of the mushroom's surface, you can almost feel the texture and fragility.
I have to compliment you because of what I like even more, and that is for the background, the lack of detail.
There is such a reality created with the lack of optical focus.
It is as if a camera has adjusted the depth of focus close to the mouse, and blurred the back.
That is done so very well.

I don't think there's anything 'negative' or any advice I can leave for improvement on this piece. The colors, while so vibrant and contrary, and applied in such places that they contrast and therefore mix well, without overpowering one area of the piece or another. The mouse is adorable, well-drawn and colored, with pleasing detail to the fur and the whiskers. And I especially like the moss. It truly has that soft look to it that makes it very believable that you can almost touch it and feel the slight squishyness of it. Wonderful attention to detail on the texturing of the wood.
I will say one potentially unintended delight is that the way the colored pencils apply the color to the paper makes it almost look like the mouse is sitting in front of a waterfall.

Aww... looks more like a fairy mouse with how it's surrounded by those oddly coloured mushrooms. Too adorable even for the cats to just kill off completely.
