Description Someone needed an illustration of an Irish Wolfhound at short notice.

This took me one and a half hours, using a black colouring pencil. It is a bit rushed and careless, The dog's ear looks weird, for one thing. I used two photos for reference; one for the head, and the other for the body.

It would have taken me a lot longer than that to draw it, and as for being ruff, did you ever see a tidy Irish wolfhound, I think it's perfect the way it is

I love those dogs, there aren't enought pics of them around. Very nice fur texture, the whole piece has a very quick and free feeling to it.

Irish wolfhounds are so regal, you captured him beautifully. I didn't even notice the ear until I read the description.

I love Wolfhounds!!!!! I don't know why, but they fascinate me.
Anyway, great drawing- the rushed look is rather effective. It sorta gives it an "energy."

I read a little bit about them when I was trawling around looking for reference pictures. They look amazing One photo should a dog stood up on his back legs, leaning on a guy; the dog was huge!
