Description Three mainline steam locos in a day has been known to be possible, and on July 23rd it happened again for me. After previously getting Tornado at Preston then 6201 and 60019 at York on a previous days shooting, we captured 6201, 44871 and 6233 "Duchess Of Sutherland" all in one day. Here 6233 is seen arriving at Crewe before taking a Cumbrian Mountain Express tour the following day.

It has everything a top line express passenger locomotive should have, power, speed, grace, elegance, beauty, style and prestige.

The most powerful passenger loco ever to run in Britain, and despite that, they're so elegant too.

Wonderful display shot! I like the edge ratio. And of course, its a beautiful locomotive. Interesting shrouds up front.
