Description Now this stage in the TMNT 4: Turtles in Time I know is everyone's favorite. Mostly due to the music of this stage. There are a few remixes of that tune, but this is the only one that's worth a damn... [link]

Of course this stage has one of my other favorite Video game moves.... "MY TOES! MY TOES!"

And for the uninitiated....[link]

Most likely Mikey, since in G0069's fan art of the later levels of Turtles in Time it's usually him who's shown to be the butt of G0069's jokes in the artwork.

Apologies for the double comment, but I just had to toss in a reply to bignasty4life. n.n*

Now I can give you a proper comment on the AWESOMENESS that is this piece. I love the fact that you included the mines and the classic animation! (Who's the unfortunate Turtle, BTW? XD )

Even if the music in the remake sucks (particularly in this level), at least Ubisoft answered the annoying question of just where the Turtles' weapons went when they hit a mine...or was I the only one who ever wondered that? lol

Can't wait for the rest of the level sketches to come out--I hope you plan on showing off all of Super Shredder's abilities when the time comes.

FAVED!

I liked that level to, it reminded me of the skateboarding level from the first arcade TMNT game. I always wondered why the Rat King was on a Foot-Ski, considering his character wasn't affiliated with the Shredder is most episodes of the show. I guess it's likelly he stole it from some of Shredder's goons.

Great work, reminds me alot of the original B&W Mirage Studios TMNT comics. The turtle doing the "hurt foot hop" is nice comic relief. "My toe! My toe!"

Forgive the second comment, but I just realized something. The Rat King fight is actually similiar to the infamous "Core Bosses" from the Gradius games (not too surprising, since Konami also created them), in both design and attack strategy.

"First the sewers, then the world!"

This stage was more intense in the arcade, since it wasn't reduced to a "Bonus" stage. However, having Rat King as a boss was a nice trade-off. Love the toe-burnt Turtle on the side.

FAVE'D!

Same as the SNES version, just with a little more POW! Oh yeah, and there was a good one of every song over at Dwelling of Duels.

Awesome angle, by the way. Reminds me of Neon Nightriders...

This really is just like Hyperstone Heist for the Genesis; same music final boss battle and everything even the awesome MY TOES phrase XD. Only differences are the story (although the first thing that happens in each is the statue of liberty being taken away), how some of the areas are traversed (this sewer was on foot, and the surfing was before the pirate ship instead), enemies, and throwing being an instant kill, but overall Turtles in Time wins. O,o sorry for long comment

The1Yoshi In reply to Lupineblade [2013-10-10 16:07:33 +0000 UTC]

Well did you know the Baxter Stockman fight in Hyperstone Heist with him in the machine dropping Mousers is actually a re-used fight from the first TMNT arcade game Konami created? Also you probably already know this but one of the more unique original boss fights in Hyperstone Heist is with one of the villains from the first two TMNT live action movies, the Dojo level has you fight the Tatsu character who was basically Shredder's right hand man in the first two TMNT live action films. Though if I've read stuff right Hyperstone Heist is hard as hell it may be shorter than Turtles in Time so it makes itself a hell of a lot less forgiving than it's SNES counterpart. My question is who came up with the bright idea of that mandatory boss rush in the cave levels?

Seriously, am I wrong when I say that the animations for the Turtles getting beat down (flattened, electrocuted, splatted into a wall, smacked in the face on "Skull and Crossbones") were a definite contribution to the game's fun factor? XD
