I have rambled on about the superiority of the SNES version of Turtles in Time over the arcade version. The extra levels, the addition of Bebop, Rocksteady, Rat King and Slash rounding out the who's who list of legendary TMNT villains, and the extra modes. You can't even call the voices in the arcade mode an advantage, since the voice for the turtles sounds like a prepubescent Ned Flanders. But most important of all, the SNES version didn't just pit you against the Shredder....they brought out the SUPER SHREDDER!! He shot fire, ice and a Hadoken that could de-mutate a Ninja Turtle.And yeah, that's the Statue of Liberty inside the Technodrome. For those who never played this game before, the premise of the game is that Shredder and the Foot clan have stolen the Statue of Liberty in their latest scheme for world domination.
OF COU......Wait, what?
And it's up to the TMNT to return it to safety. Y'know, what's really weird is that this is the only old school TMNT game where you DIDN'T have to rescue April O'Niel.

Ah yes, the Turtles. Their epic struggle to kick butt and eat pizza never stops people from admiring there greatness.
Very nostalgic, as I was raised on the turtles as a kid and also played the games (I played the arcade version since I didn't have SNES). But today's generation has a new version of the Turtles and to us who were raised with them, it seems to be lacking the power that it had. That is the point that G0069 is trying to make here, and I think he succeeds.
With that said, lets go for style...
As this is a series, I say that the style matches with what G0069 intended it to be, like an epic comic book (as where the Turtles started from) that tells the true battle through time.
I think it works for what he is trying for with no color, and even though it could look amazing, I think color would take away from the impact that he is trying to create.
Personally I would like to see cleaner edges, but I don't think it takes away that much from the series. Great work!
Vision - **** The image is very epic looking, as we can see that unlike the other images of the series, the Turtles are struggling to take down this behemoth Shredder. It looks very much like the level from the game and while the focal point is on Shredder, you have multiple points of where you can focus on as the Turtles are surrounding him.
Originality - ***1/2 While still considered fan art, this series is made to show the old school compared the new school, of what is sacrificed for today that was priceless to us in the past. I may be judgmental as I remember these days...
Technique - ****1/2 G0069's style is great, and only missing a half because I would like to see what it would look like with cleaned up lines.
Impact - **** As a series I think it's strong, but as a single image... only less as strong. But still powerful enough to get it's point through.

Funny I always thought the voice clips in the Arcade sounded a little closer to sounding like Inspector Gadget rather than Ned Flanders, not that that's not any better than you described the Arcade's voice clips.

The sound clips have played in my head as I've been reading the titles, is that bad?
All of these can be described simply as badass, but I don't think that quite covers it. Especially this one, but I'm biased toward the monster that is Super Shred-head. Many thanks for rekindling my fond memories of this game!

Love these series of yours. I thought the SNES version was better in gameplay but I really like the arcade music tracks though. I thought it was cool to put super shredder in there too, even if he was pie once you know how to handle him.

Not the only, merely the first. You didn't need to save her in either of the Sega games. She's a playable character in Tournament Fighters, Genesis version.

The SNES version was superior in some ways, but it lacked all the attention to detail the arcade version had. They left out a lot of special effects in the stages, the animation wasnt as smooth, the sound effects were lacking. All in all I will take the arcade version over the SNES anyday, just my opinion.

This is a true epic. The ninja brothers taking on their arch nemesis, the Shredder, in his super form. What once was a man becomes a monster, the sai where his heart should be not even phasing him.
The turtles may be facing their greatest challenge yet, being obviously out matched. Don struggling to his knees, Raph is charging at the Shredder but may be too late to stop the demise of his brother Leo. All of this is watched by the Statue herself, the battle that will determine the fate of Liberty.
Mikey's demutated face make me go lol.

This game was always one of my favorite side-scrollers, no doubt... probably because it was one of my earliest sidescrollers, haha. Either way, this picture itself is amazing. I'd love to see it in color!
