"The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, our four reptilian heroes, have overcome the archvillain, Shredder."It didn't seem right to me to have a series of drawings based on the TMNT IV levels and not have one for the ending...[link]
And yeah, the turtles managed to heft that big-ass statue out of the Technodrome with a single cable and their blimp...
I'm on a blimp, motherfucker in the fucking sk...
Shaddap! Anyway, you may be wondering how they could manage to do that. And for that matter, what strategic importance is there in Shredder stealing the statue in the first place? And why would he banish the turtles into a timewarp that they could easily fight their way out of? And since when was a severe physical bludgeoning all it takes to demutate Tokka and Rahzar? And why is Splinter, the one who berates the turtles for not practicing the "art of invisibility" , now traipsing around on live TV? No one knows, and anyone who played the game couldn't give two shits about the reasoning behind its premise. Be it arcade or SNES, the unique balance of gameplay, music, graphics, and nostalgia make this an enduring classic, which is why the "reshelled" version can never live up to the originals. And so concludes my tribute to this proverbial exon of gaming history.

The arcade was golden.
The Super NES/Super Famicom version nearly perfected it (Your mileage may vary if the song "Pizza Power" and 4-players were really all that important. If none of these matter then it's perfect!).
Ubi-Soft's repackaging tried to recapture the magic but it was missing a LOT of love.

I always figured the Statue theft was meant to be bait, so that Shredder could lure the Turtles into his time warp trap.

What was with that kid? He just jumped up there like "SUPBITCHES!" I never did beat the game on the arcade machine or on the SNES' hard mode back in my day, so the first time I saw him was looking up stuff when Reshelled was coming around the bend. And I see that kid and I'm like "Woah! Random kid! Th'hell did you come from?"
