Thank you, Anduinel.
I loved doing this artwork. Yes, I did try and make familial features of parentage in Illora's design. 😃

Tilaweed is soooo my favorite. I started collecting the comics as soon as I saw her on the cover. After the original series disappeared I was so disappointed. Then my brother told me about your work on here. So glad to see it again.

Wow, you have a great brother, thank him for me.
Julie and I are working on the new comic series with Tilaweed and Hyfus as the lead characters. No more will Tilaweed be a supporting character in this series. However , that said, she will not appear in the first issue. I'm working on the 2nd issue cover right now, and it's all about Tilaweed.

Thank you.
I'm sure we'll find a publisher that will cover the States as well as locally in Australia, we will be presenting to interested publishers in Australia and USA. When that is all wraped up, I'll annoce it on deviantart.
working on the 1st issue now, we're really happy with the direction of it. More to share on that later too.

A very touching moment but I cant help but notice that the child has a different hair color than the partents. As where Tilaweed and her husband have, clearly, blonde tones the little girl seems to be more of a red head. If I were the husband I'd suspect there was something Tilaweed wasnt sharing with him.

Maybe the grandparents of the child would be an obvious place to look before accusations against Tilaweed. Also the tail color think might play a part...who knows, they aren't human after all. All your questions will be revealed in the comic series I'm currently co-writing (with Julie Ditrich) and illustrating, which features Tilaweed and Hyfus.
Nice that you found the seen touching. Thank you.

Still one can only assume, and its well pointed out by your response that genetics play a part even in fantasy. Since red hair is a recessive gene I guess it would make sense if both parents had the gene.

Red hair is a resesive genes in Humans, who know in Elves, and Mermaids, as these characters are. Their lives are controlled by things that ground them to reality, but as yet, which rules they are have not been established. The new comic series will address much of this.

Like many here I am very happy to see this beautiful painting. I always felt for Tilaweed loosing her child, guess no mother should go through that and she showed her grief in a beautiful way, but here you can see her eyes are full of motherly pride and love for her little one. Wonderful characters, I deeply and sincerely wish you much success in the upcoming story for them.

Thank you.
The new story does not include Illora. It happens well before she is concieved. This story of Tilaweed and Hyfus will rewrite their history.

Certainly it would be great to see these characters move on film. Who know what possibilities will open up once the new series is up and running.

Thanks so much for your comment. I did two versions of this before settling with this 3rd drawing at this angle, each version was progressively pushed in perspective. This one was the most dynamic.

I love this theme~ It looks like such a happy-happy-joy-joy mood.
Will you ever make tutorials for pencil techniques and such?
Oh, I wish I could read these comics. They look very interesting! ^^

Thank you. I've not thought about pencil techniques for here, but in previous places of employment, i have always taken on the mentor role for many artists i have worked with. it is a joy to see them learn, and improve. I learn with them too.
