My take on Art nouveau ala Alphonse Mucha (for hair design). I love how his style was the styling base for the animated sections of the Disney film Enchanted. I was very excited to see it applied to an animate film... about time I say.

Just so beautifull, the textures and everything. People should do more traditional artwork. I just wish it wasn't so fricking expensive.

Thank you. The paper and paints are expensive, but certainly worth it. But then again, computer softwear like photoshop and all the others are not cheap either.

But it sooooo much easier to, eh... get it for "free"

Jozef-Szekeres In reply to mayu [2007-05-10 03:30:20 +0000 UTC]
tho...officially it's never for free. All the paints I've gotten during my years of painting have all been given to me from work. First Disney cel paints that I used to paint WaveDancers. I was sent Dyes from Warp to use on the series too, but found them not to my liking. Then when at my last job they purchased acrylics for me. I've only really had to buy brushes and watercolor paper. That can be expensive enough.

When I was an intern at Disney Studios in The Netherlands, and all though I did digital colouring, and not actually drew at the studio, I was allowed to get free fineliners, pencils, erasers and fine brushes for free! woo

Wow, this was a great precursor of what wonderful mermaids you were yet to draw! This one's great, and I'm glad you developed your style a bit more to include the membranous fins and fingerwebbing.
