On a cold january morning in Kansas, in the present day, a group of sub-adult tyrannosaurs called Plains-sprinters, known also as Neogorgons, set out hunting for something to eat. Protected from the bitter cold by warm wooly feather coats, they set out to hone their skills by making their first kill without their parents' assistance. But when you're on the hunt, there is always time for some play.
And today, the plaything is an adult Panoplopelta, a spiky ankylosaur some 32 feet long. Also armed against the cold by his reserves of fat and his sheer mass, he can dish out any weather that come his way. It also means he can dish out attacks by most predators.
The three delinquents, curious about the armored hulk, decide to try out his defenses. They snap, scratch, and kick at him. But What does he do? Nothing, except swipe once at them with his spiky tail club and go back to hunting for tubers and small mammals. His armor is more than strong enough to repel even an adult Plains-sprinter, so he simply plods away as his tormentors grow bored and set off to hunt. Neither side is harmed by this encounter, and the carnivores learn there is easier prey to hunt than this titan.

A clear view of what happens when young predators decide to tangle with armored prey. i created this after looking to Luis V. Rey's dinosaurs for inspiration. i wanted to create a better ankylosaur, so i added spikes. NeoGorgon on the other hand is what happens when you cross a Yutyrannus and Majungasaurus. this drawing is a tribute to Osmatar too, as her speculative tyrannosaurs were great inspiration as well. feel free to make your own variations of these beasts, but please get my permission first.
