Description Another dog painting - I'm greatly enjoying these. It's not really a speed paint any more this time, I spent much longer on it than I had originally planned. The fur was rather difficult to get right. The reference was again one of my dad's photos and the dog is my uncle's, called Karel (or Charles), a gorgeous Airedale Terrier.

I'm considering uploading some work in progresses of this one... to prove it's really a painting XD seeing as some people seem to doubt that sometimes...although I think that for this one it's actually quite obvious.

I've got shamefully behind but I did save this in my inbox to comment eventually. And here I am, after almost a day of working through the dreaded inbox XD
this is fantastic work, I really love the work on the texture. I can't believe you got so good all of a sudden! Your art was good before, but these are a step up. Really nicely done.

I'm glad you like it. I may do a puppy at some point, but I currently have a Dutch Shepherd in the making.

Een echte Airedale, net zo'n mooie als die jij getekend heb. LOL.
She's curently 3 weeks old and i'm picking her up in Ontario, living
in Southern Albera, Canada so a ways to go. But I want to make sure I get the right
one. LOL. keep up the drawing, you are awesome. jb

I like this style of yours but when you know how to use photoshop yourself, it gets easier to see it was painted rather than photographed. and in my opinion, a painting takes much more effort and dedication

Thank you so much *hugs* Usually no one listens to me when I say this XD but it's really practice rather than talent. The robin painting I posted years ago was done in the same style using the same technique really.

Lmao, it's just patience, really.
I started with a big brush and just worked down to smaller and smaller ones. All hairs were drawn manually. My hand hurts now. XD
