Description Just for a change from fractals I thought I would upload some random photos taken over the last year or two.

This is a Canada Goose (Branta canadensis), taken in the middle of his preening activities next to a river. I took this one a couple of weeks ago on a day out. I like the more unusual angle of shooting from the rear rather than the more usual (and boring!) side shots that I have taken of this species in the past. I think the late afternoon lighting is nice too.

Thanks! I've taken lots of shots of this species over the years, all a bit "iffy" in terms of quality/composition, so I was happy to capture this pose.

Yeah, we get a lot of Canada geese down here in Colorado in Winter, and I've gotten a lot of shots of them. The dumb things go out and stand in the middle of frozen ponds, in this big gaggle of geese, just standing there in the freezing wind, on the ice! I can think of better ways to spend the Winter, myself, lol!
