...freedom doesn't come free.

Originally I wanted to finish and post this on July 4th, but I wasn't able to at the time, which is why you ended up with a bunch of drabbles instead. But today I completed it, so here it is.

The United States Of America does have its flaws, issues and problems, that cannot be denied. We have a lot of people in our government who aren't really making the wisest choices for our country. And I've heard a lot of non-Americans mock our country, saying that we're a nation born from and built on bloodshed. Certainly others are entitled to their opinions, and there is a grain of truth to that statement.

But there have been thousands, millions of American people who willingly spilt their own blood and sacrificed themselves to protect our rights, our freedoms, our people and our nation.

Freedom has a price. The flag that represents us has been bought with the blood poured out by our people.

And they are some of the greatest heroes in the world.
